Halit Refiğ
Halit Refiğ (5 March 1934 – 11 October 2009) was a Turkish film director, film producer, screenwriter and writer. He made around sixty films, including feature films, documentaries and TV serials. He is considered to be the pioneer of the National Cinema movement and the initiator of the production of TV serials in Turkey. Biography Halit Refiğ graduated from Şişli Terakki High School in 1951 and studied engineering at Robert College in Istanbul. Refiğ directed his first films in 8mm while he served as a military reserve officer in Korea, Japan and Ceylon. He wrote articles on cinema at newspapers in 1956 and published the ''Sinema Dergisi'' magazine together with Nijat Özön. He began his career as Atıf Yılmaz's assistant in 1957 together with Yılmaz Güney. He worked as scriptwriter for Atıf Yılmaz and Memduh Ün. Vedat Türkali
Abdülkadir "Demirkan" Pirhasan (13 May 1919 – 29 August 2016), known by his pen name as Vedat Türkali, was a Turkish screenwriter, novelist, playwright, intellectual, teacher and the member of the Democratic People's Party. He is also credited to "film director" for making three films in Turkish cinema as a director. He was the recipient of numerous accolades, including International Antalya Film Festival Best Screenplay for '' Karanlıkta Uyananlar (Those Who Wake in the Darkness)'' film. At the age of 21, he married Merih Pirhasan in 1942, with whom he had two children: Barış Pirhasan and Deniz Türkali. An Italian-Turkish singer namely Zeynep Casalini is his granddaughter. Türkali wrote more than forty screenplays, four theater plays, and eight novels throughout his career since 1958. Göksel Arsoy
Göksel Arsoy (born 15 March 1936) is a Turkish actor, singer and sportsmen. Biography When Arsoy was studying at Istanbul University's Economics faculty. He is nephew of musician, Yesari Asım Ersoy. He started working at the nearby Yeşilköy Airport. In 1958, he made his film debut in ''Kara Günlerim'' directed by Sırrı Gültekin and went on to appear in films such as ''Kelepçe'' and ''Samanyolu''. In many of these, he starred opposite actress Belgin Doruk. He played as actor and producer in cult film "" about the airforce. He was labelled the "Golden Child" ("Altın Çocuk") of Turkish cinema by the media. Through the years, he maintained a close friendship with Ayhan Işık, his main acting rival at the time. Ali Sen
ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; 600 – 661 common era, CE) was the last of four Rashidun, Rightly Guided Caliphs to rule Islam (r. 656 – 661) immediately after the death of Muhammad, and he was the first Shia Imam. The issue of his succession caused a major rift between Muslims and divided them into Shia Islam, Shia and Sunni Islam, Sunni groups.
