Strangebrew
''Strangebrew'' is a reality situational comedy television show in the Philippines which formerly aired on UNTV, PTV and Studio 23 from 2001 to 2003. History and concept ''Strangebrew'' was launched in early summer of 2001 on UNTV. It was hosted by Arvin "Tado" Jimenez, and Angel "Erning" Rivero. The show was directed by R.A. Rivera. The show also featured film makers Ramon Bautista and Jun Sabayton, playing odd characters. The reality comedy show features fun facts about how things are made in a factory, or making a movie. Trivial pursuits and '' road trip'' like episodes were produced, as means to make a transition from one topic to another. Some episodes cover two or more topics about everyday ordinary things and people. Some include interviews of a plumber, a toll gate operator, MRT/LRT operator/employees, theater ticket attendees, motion picture deliverymen, the late Raymundo Punongbayan of PHIVOLCS, when Tado and Erning featured Taal Volcano. Tado Jimenez
Arvin Impuesto Jimenez (March 24, 1974 – February 7, 2014), known mononymously as Tado, was a Filipino comedian, actor, radio personality, businessman, published author and activist. His nickname "Tado" comes from a Tagalog expletive (''tarantado'') that he frequently blurts out. Tado was primarily known for the offbeat television program ''Strangebrew'' and the U92 radio program ''The BrewRATs!''. Early life and career Prior to fame, Tado had worked on various odd jobs such as a staff in a mental hospital, a waiter, a scriptwriter for television and a photojournalist. Tado graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) with a degree in Psychology. He was an active member of Scouts Royale Brotherhood (SRB) International Service Fraternity and Sorority under the waving banner of Beta Tau Chapter. Ramon Bautista
Ramon Victor Agas Bautista is a Filipino former actor, comedian, television host, film producer, writer, commercial model, and educator. He is a self-proclaimed "Internet Action Star". Bautista graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Mass Communication where he earned his degree in film and audio-visual communications. He is currently teaching Film at the same university. He made his first television appearance as he played various characters in '' Strangebrew'', a comedy-reality show television series aired from 2001 to 2003. Jun Sabayton (born November 23, 1973) is a Filipino actor, comedian, host and director. He is known as "Bayaw” due to his works at News5’s Word of the Lourd, Kontrabando, and B.A.Y.A.W. for President advocacy campaign. Jun Sabayton was born on November 23, 1973, in Cebu City. Jun's debut on TV was '' Strangebrew''. He was a producer and a special participant in the show with his co-stars Angel "Erning" Rivero and the late Tado Jimenez in 2002. Sabayton has also acted in movies. He was a host on TV5 and then moved to the Kapamilya Network, ABS-CBN 2, in around 2018. The single-camera setup, or single-camera mode of production, also known as portable single camera, is a method of filmmaking and video production. The single-camera setup originally developed during the birth of the classical Hollywood cinema in the 1910s and has remained the standard mode of production for cinema. In television production, both single-camera and multiple-camera methods are commonly used. Description In this setup, each of the various shots and camera angles are taken using the same camera, or multiple cameras pointed in one direction, which are moved and reset to get each shot or new angle. If a scene cuts back and forth between actor A and actor B, the director will first point the camera toward A and run part or all of the scene from this angle, then move the camera to point at B, relight, and then run the scene through from this angle.
