''Straight, Clean and Simple'' is the fourth studio album by Anne Murray issued in 1971 on Capitol Records. Outside Canada, where Anne Murray was not so well known, it was simply titled ''Anne Murray''. The album contained material by Burt Bacharach, Hal David, Kenny Rogers and Kin Vassy. Morna Anne Murray (born June 20, 1945) is a retired Canadian singer. Her albums, consisting primarily of pop, country, and adult contemporary music, have sold over 55 million copies worldwide during her over 40-year career. Murray was the first Canadian female solo singer to reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts and also the first to earn a Gold record for one of her signature songs, "Snowbird" (1970). Terence Michael "Terry" Clarke C.M. (born August 20, 1944, Vancouver) is a Canadian jazz drummer. Clarke studied percussion with Jim Blackley and played with Chris Gage and Dave Robbins early in his career. From 1965 to 1967 he toured in a quintet with John Handy, and joined The Fifth Dimension in 1967, remaining with the ensemble until 1969. In 1970, he moved to Toronto, where he began a longstanding association with Rob McConnell's group, Boss Brass; he also played with Ed Bickert, Ruby Braff, Jim Galloway, Sonny Greenwich, Jay McShann, Emily Remler, and Frank Rosolino. Bobby Edwards (born Robert Edward Moncrief; January 18, 1926 – July 31, 2012) was an American country music singer who recorded between 1959 and 1969. At the beginning of his career he performed and recorded under the name Bobby Moncrief. Then, having completed his service in the US Navy, he started recording as Bobby Edwards. Biography Edwards was born in Anniston, Alabama, United States, to a preacher, George Thomas Moncrief and Ila Eva Murray Moncrief. Bill Richards (28 March 1923 – 28 February 1995) was a Canadian violinist, composer, arranger, and editor. His compositional output includes several film scores, a ''Flute Quartet'' (1964), and a number of fiddle tunes.
