Strage Di Piazza Fontana
The Piazza Fontana bombing ( it, Strage di Piazza Fontana) was a terrorist attack that occurred on 12 December 1969 when a bomb exploded at the headquarters of Banca Nazionale dell'Agricoltura (the National Agricultural Bank) in Piazza Fontana (near the ''Duomo'') in Milan, Italy, killing 17 people and wounding 88. The same afternoon, three more bombs were detonated in Rome and Milan, and another was found unexploded. The attack was carried out by the far-right, neo-fascist paramilitary terrorist group Ordine Nuovo and, possibly, certain undetermined collaborators. Piazza Fontana On 25 April 1969 a bomb exploded at the Fiat booth at a Milan trade fair, in which five people were injured. There was also a bomb discovered at the city's central station. The explosion at Piazza Fontana was not the first, but part of a well-coordinated series of attacks.

Mario Cervi (25 March 1921 – 17 November 2015) was an Italian essayist and journalist. Born in Crema, Lombardy, Cervi started his career as a journalist in 1945 collaborating with the newspaper ''Corriere della Sera'' as a foreign reporter. In 1965 he debuted as an essayist with ''Storia della guerra di Grecia'' ("History of the War of Greece"), with references to his experience as an infantry officer in Greece during the Second World War. After about thirty years of collaboration, in 1974 he left the ''Corriere della Sera'' to co-found, with Indro Montanelli, the newspaper ''il Giornale'', in which he was columnist and then also deputy editor. Indro Alessandro Raffaello Schizogene Montanelli (; 22 April 1909 – 22 July 2001) was an Italian journalist, historian and writer. He was one of the fifty World Press Freedom Heroes according to the International Press Institute. A volunteer for the Second Italo-Ethiopian War and an admirer of Benito Mussolini's dictatorship, Montanelli had a change of heart in 1943, and joined the liberal resistance group Giustizia e Libertà but was discovered and arrested along with his wife by Nazi authorities in 1944. Adriano Sofri (born 1 August 1942) is an Italian intellectual, a journalist and a writer. The former leader of the autonomist movement ''Lotta Continua'' ("Continuous Struggle") in the 1960s, he was arrested in 1988 and sentenced to 22 years of prison, having been found guilty of instigating the murder of police officer Luigi Calabresi. Sofri, and the others comrades convicted with him, have always proclaimed their innocence. Lotta Continua (LC; en, Continuous Struggle) was a far-left paramilitary organization in Italy. It was founded in autumn 1969 by a split in the student-worker movement of Turin, which had started militant activity at the universities and factories such as Fiat. The first issue of ''Lotta Continua''s eponymous newspaper was published in November 1969, and publication continued until 1982 after the organization disbanded in 1976. Focusing ''Lotta Continua'' focused on spreading radicalisation from students and youth to workers, and played a large role in setting up social centres.
