Storm Murphy
Storm Murphy (born January 3, 1999) is an American college basketball player for the Virginia Tech Hokies of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). He previously played for the Wofford Terriers. Early life and high school career Murphy attended Middleton High School in Middleton, Wisconsin. He joined the Chicago-based Mac Irvin Fire of the Nike EYBL after his junior season and averaged 8.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game, distinguishing himself among other top prospects. As a senior, Murphy averaged 19.9 points, 4.8 assists and 2 steals per game. He was a First Team All-Big Eight Conference selection during his junior and senior seasons and earned honorable-mention all-state recognition as a senior from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. Western Carolina Catamounts Men's Basketball
The Western Carolina Catamounts men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men' basketball team that represents Western Carolina University. The team currently competes in the Southern Conference. Western Carolina won the 1996 Southern Conference tournament and participated in the 1996 NCAA tournament. 2018–19 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 6, 2018. The 2017–18 Wofford Terriers men's basketball team represented Wofford College during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Michael Kent Young (born May 1, 1963) is an American college basketball coach and currently the head men's basketball coach at Virginia Tech. He was hired on April 7, 2019, after a 17-year stint where he went 299–244 () as the head coach at Wofford College. Career Born in Radford, Virginia, Young played collegiately at Emory & Henry College. After completing his career, which included serving as team captain during his junior and senior seasons, Young began his coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater.
