Stories Since Seventy Nine (abbreviated Stories Since 79 or Ss79) is a Canadian-exclusive EP by the Christian rapper Manafest. It was released independently on September 5, 2012. The EP is technically a side project release and not a regular piece of Manafest's work. In 2015, the EP was globally released via Manafest's official store for physical and digital purchase, and is no longer exclusive to Canada. Manafest
Christopher Scott Greenwood (born July 19, 1979), known by his stage name Manafest, is a Canadian Christian rapper and rock artist from Pickering, Ontario, Canada. He has won multiple awards for the GMA Canada Covenant Awards, GMA Dove Awards, and has been nominated for multiple Juno Awards. Signed for a decade with BEC Recordings, Manafest became independent in 2015. History After a skateboarding accident in 1998, Greenwood shifted his focus to musical writing. He and fellow rapper Jusachyl started a hip-hop group, Under One King. During this time, Greenwood used his skater nickname 'Speedy' as his moniker. ''Stones'' is the ninth studio album by Canadian Christian rapper Manafest. It was independently released on July 21, 2017. The release was fan-funded through a Kickstarter campaign and is Manafest's second fully independent album since his departure from BEC Recordings. Background On October 5, 2015, Manafest released three bonus tracks via PledgeMusic to those who supported his 2015 album ''Reborn''. The second track given to fans was a demo song entitled "I Won't Give Up". It was retitled "Won't Give Up" and musically altered before being debuted as a single on April 29, 2016. This track eventually went on to be the closing track for the album ''Stones''. On February 20, 2017, Manafest launched a Kickstarter project for a new album entitled ''Stones''. Stones Reloaded (stylized at times as Stones eoaded or Stones: Reloaded) is a remix album by Canadian Christian rapper Manafest. It was independently released on September 21, 2018. The release was fan-funded through a PledgeMusic campaign. The album contains a remixed version of every track on the 2017 album '' Stones''. Background On July 27, 2017, Manafest announced via his Patreon that he was working on a release entitled "The Remix Project" in which he was planning to remix all the songs from ''Stones''. On September 28, 2017, Manafest announced the project was officially titled ''Stones Reloaded''. He released the first remix track "Stones" to Patreon pledgers in September, 2017 and proceeded to release a new remix song each month until all songs from the album were remixed. Joel Piper (born October 18, 1985) is a Mexican singer-songwriter, record producer, musician, and disc jockey born in Sonora, Mexico. He most famously known for being the ex-drummer and clean vocalist for the metalcore band Confide (band), Confide from 2009 to 2013. Side Project
In popular music, a side project is a project undertaken by one or more people already known for their involvement in another band. It can also be an artist or a band temporarily switching to a different style.
