Stokes Township is one of the seventeen townships of Logan County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 4,613, down from 5,367 at the 2000 census. Geography Located in the northwestern corner of the county, it borders the following townships: * Goshen Township, Auglaize County - north * Roundhead Township, Hardin County - northeast * Richland Township - east * Washington Township - southeast * Bloomfield Township - south * Jackson Township, Shelby County - southwest * Clay Township, Auglaize County - northwest The village of Lakeview is located in eastern Stokes Township, and the unincorporated community of Santa Fe lies in the southwestern part of the county, along the Clay Township border. State Route 368 (SR 368) is a short north–south state highway in western Ohio, a U.S. state. SR 368 travels from its southern terminus at SR 366 approximately east of Russells Point to its northern terminus on Seminole Island in the eastern half of Indian Lake, at an intersection where it meets Logan County Road 272 (CR 272) and CR 286. State Route 366 (SR 366) is an east–west state highway in the western portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. SR 366 has its western terminus at a T-intersection with U.S. Route 33 (US 33) nearly northwest of Lakeview. The route's eastern terminus is at State Route 117 about north of Huntsville. Ohio State Route 235
State Route 235 (SR 235) is a north–south state highway in the western portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its southern terminus is at US 68 near the small town of Oldtown just north of Xenia, and its northern terminus is at State Route 65 at the Maumee River nearly east of Grand Rapids, west of Otsego. Prior to late 1968, SR 235's northern terminus was at an intersection with State Route 4 and then State Route 69, which ran from downtown Dayton northward to State Route 65. With the reconstruction of SR 4/SR 69 to a high speed thoroughfare from I-75 to I-70, SR 69 southwards was discontinued, and northwards from the intersection was renumbered as an almost 200 mile northern extension of SR 235. Auglaize County () is a county in Northwestern Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 46,442. Its county seat is Wapakoneta. Auglaize County comprises the Wapakoneta Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Lima- Van Wert- Celina Combined Statistical Area. Etymology The county is named for the Auglaize River. Some sources say it is a corruption of the French description of the clay (''glaise'') water (''eau''); others say it comes from a Native American word for fallen timbers.
