The Stockton Symphony Association is an American orchestra based in Stockton, California. It was founded in 1926 by Manlio Silva and is the third oldest orchestra in California. Since 1995 Peter Jaffe has been music director and conductor. San Joaquin Delta College
San Joaquin Delta College (Delta College) is a public community college in Stockton, California. It was founded in 1935 as Stockton Junior College. The college serves a district area that includes all of San Joaquin County and parts of Alameda, Calaveras, Sacramento, and Solano counties. It is the only community college in the country to offer an Electron Microscopy program. History Stockton Junior College began as a division of the College of the Pacific in 1935. It changed its name to Stockton College in 1948. In 1963, it became a separate community college district and changed its name to San Joaquin Delta College. Delta College moved to a new 165-acre campus in 1972, and its previous campus reverted to the University of the Pacific.
