Unincorporated Community
An unincorporated area is a region that is not governed by a local municipal corporation. Widespread unincorporated communities and areas are a distinguishing feature of the United States and Canada. Most other countries of the world either have no unincorporated areas at all or these are very rare: typically remote, outlying, sparsely populated or uninhabited areas. Stinking Creek (Campbell County, Tennessee)
Stinking Creek is a stream in Campbell County, Tennessee, in the United States. Stinking Creek, a Fumarole, sulphur spring, was named on account of its naturally occurring unpleasant odor. Another theory for the creek's name dates to 1779–1780. This was attributed to many animal deaths during an unusually cold winter and the resulting carrion stench the following spring.
