TKKF Stilon Gorzów Wielkopolski is a Polish women's football club from Gorzów Wielkopolski. TKKF Stilon was founded in 1984 and won 3 championship titles and 3 Polish Cups. The last years Gorzów Wielkopolski played in Poland's I Liga, which was the highest league up to 2005-06 but since then only the second tier. Gorzów Wielkopolski hasn't been able to promote to the new Ekstraliga Kobiet until 2009-10 when they finished second at the end of the season. Ekstraliga Kobiet
The Ekstraliga ( en, Extra League) is the top Polish league for women's association football teams. The league's first season was in 1979–80. Initially, it was called ''I liga polska kobiet''. The first title holder was Czarni Sosnowiec. In 2005, the league was renamed to ''Ekstraliga kobiet''. The winner of the league qualifies for the UEFA Women's Champions League. Relegated teams descend to the I liga. 2020/21 clubs Source Format Up to the 2009–10 season with six teams in the league, the teams played each other four times per season. Thus each club was totalling 20 matches. The last place after the season got relegated while the 5th-place finisher played a two-legged relegation playoff. For the 2010–11 season the whole women's football of Poland was reorganized. For the Ekstraliga the change was an increase from 6 teams to 10 teams. Gorzów Wielkopolski (; german: Landsberg an der Warthe) often abbreviated to Gorzów Wlkp. or simply Gorzów, is a city in western Poland, on the Warta river. It is the second largest city in the Lubusz Voivodeship with 120,087 inhabitants (December 2021) and one of its two capitals with a seat of a voivode, with the other being Zielona Góra. Around Gorzów, there are two large forest areas: Gorzów Woods to the north, where the Barlinek-Gorzów Landscape Park is situated, and Noteć Woods to the southeast. The Polish Women's Cup (Polish: Puchar Polski kobiet) is the national women's football cup competition in Poland and was first held in 1984/85.
