Still Dangerous
''Still Dangerous'' is a live album by Irish rock band Thin Lizzy. It was compiled from two live concerts by the band at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, U.S., just outside of Philadelphia, at 20 and 21 October 1977 during the tour in support of their '' Bad Reputation'' album. No overdubs were made to any tracks so the album is completely live. The tracks "Cowboy Song", "The Boys Are Back in Town", "Massacre" and "Emerald" were previously released on the album ''Live and Dangerous'', while "Opium Trail" and "Bad Reputation" were issued on the ''Killers Live'' EP in 1981. "Bad Reputation" and "Emerald" are bonus tracks made only available as downloads outside Japan. They are also available as a bonus 7" 45 RPM single on the U.S. vinyl version of the release. Thin Lizzy
Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Their music reflects a wide range of influences, including blues, soul music, psychedelic rock and traditional Irish folk music, but is generally classified as hard rock or sometimes heavy metal. Two of the founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist, lead vocalist and principal songwriter Phil Lynott, met while still in school. Lynott led the group throughout their recording career of twelve studio albums, writing most of the material. The singles "Whiskey in the Jar" (a traditional Irish ballad), "The Boys Are Back in Town" and "Waiting for an Alibi" were international hits. After Lynott's death in 1986, various incarnations of the band emerged over the years based initially around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes, though Sykes left the band in 2009. Jailbreak (Thin Lizzy Song)
"Jailbreak" is a song by Thin Lizzy that originally appeared as the title track on their 1976 album '' Jailbreak''. Along with "The Boys Are Back in Town", it is one of their most popular songs, played frequently on classic rock radio. The song is typical of the band's music, with the dual lead guitar harmony and Brian Robertson's use of the wah-wah pedal. John "Irish" Earle (6 October 1944 – 7 May 2008) was an Irish saxophone, saxophonist, best known for his solo on Thin Lizzy's live versions of "Dancing in the Moonlight", such as that on their live album ''Live and Dangerous''. He also worked with Ian Dury, Graham Parker, Gnidrolog, Rory Gallagher, The Boomtown Rats, Randy Crawford, Shakin' Stevens and many others Biography Earle went to school at Synge Street CBS, and started playing the clarinet as a young boy, and later graduated to saxophone. After a short career as a commercial artist he started his professional music career in the mid-1960s, playing in showbands that were popular in Ireland at the time. Brian Michael Downey (born 27 January 1951) is an Irish drummer. He was a founding member of the rock band Thin Lizzy and the only other constant in the band aside from leader Phil Lynott until their disbandment in 1983.
