Stickfigure Records is an American record label based in Atlanta, Georgia. It was created in the winter of 1992 to cater to the underground scene of independent music. A record label, or record company, is a brand or trademark of music recordings and music videos, or the company that owns it. "Blame Game" is a song by American hip-hop recording artist Kanye West from his fifth studio album, ''My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'' (2010). Deerhunter
Deerhunter is an American indie rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2001. The band currently consists of Bradford Cox (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Moses Archuleta (drums, electronics, sound treatments), Lotus Plaza, Lockett Pundt (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Josh McKay (musician), Josh McKay (bass) and Javier Morales (keyboards, synthesizers, alto saxophone). Founded by Cox and Archuleta, Deerhunter's first stable line-up included guitarist Colin Mee and bass guitarist Justin Bosworth. After recording a Deerhunter/Alphabets Split, split EP with Alphabets, Bosworth died on March 29, 2004, of head injuries suffered during a skateboarding accident. He was 23 years old. Turn It Up Faggot
''Turn It Up Faggot'' is the debut album from indie rock group Deerhunter. The album's title refers to a taunt that was shouted at the band during early live shows although the album is also referred to as self-titled. The album's notes dedicate the album to Justin Bosworth, the band's original bassist, who died in 2004. Lead singer Bradford Cox produced the cover photography, typography and Montage (filmmaking), montage for the album. For the album artwork, Cox took a picture of Jared Swilley from the Black Lips, recognizable to some because of the tattoo on his arm. Entertainment is an American post-punk band founded in 2002 in Athens, Georgia. History Entertainment formed in 2002 in Athens, Georgia, influenced by the Doors, Love, Led Zeppelin, Bauhaus, Public Image Ltd, the Cure, Gang of Four, Christian Death, Joy Division, the Birthday Party, dub and krautrock. After the December 2003 release of their first single "Safe at One" on Atlanta label Stickfigure Records, the band was signed by now-defunct Luminal Records, who released their second single, "Patroness", in 2004. A split 12-inch EP release with Canadian band A Spectre Is Haunting Europe followed in 2006 on Simulacre Media/Adistant Sound. Entertainment's debut album, ''Gender'', was released in 2008 by Stickfigure, with a remastered vinyl version issued the following year on New York label Duchess Archive. I Would Set Myself On Fire For You
I Would Set Myself on Fire for You was an American experimental screamo band from Atlanta that formed in 2001 and broke up for unknown reasons in 2007. The band released two albums on Stickfigure Records, in between several demos sold at concerts during the time they were together. Another 7" record, which the band announced to "be released in the near future" was initially supposed to be released on Delian League Records but couldn't be released due to damaged test pressings. The two songs were finally released in 2012 as a download on the band's Bandcamp site. The band featured instruments including viola, acoustic guitar, cello, synthesizer, saxophone, trumpet, and hand drums in their songs. Milemarker is an American post-hardcore group from North Carolina, United States. History Milemarker originally formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. For a number of years they were part of the Chapel Hill and Chicago underground music scenes. The band became known for their eclectic stylings; their sound shifted from an experimental electronic format to heavier alternative rock in more recent years. In 2001 Milemarker released an album, ''Anaesthetic'' on the Jade Tree label. Milemarker released their album ''Ominosity'' in 2005, and embarked on a tour of the US in support. Nerdkween (pronounced "nerd queen") is the stage name for the American singer/songwriter and composer Monica Arrington, who is known for lo-fi recordings and minimalist style of electric guitar playing with added electronic noises. She is also known for a wide range in vocal ability, from haunting and airy tones to gritty and country-like twangs. Her music is a part of the genres noise pop, lo-fi, slowcore or dream pop.
