Joseph Stephen "Stevie" Woods Jr. (July 2, 1951 – January 28, 2014) was an American R&B musician and singer. Biography Woods was born in Chatham, Virginia, to jazz great Rusty Bryant. In the late 1970s, he was a member of the funk band Crowd Pleasers. In the early 1980s, his two singles, "Steal the Night" and "Just Can't Win 'Em All", reached top 40 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. After his brief U.S. fame fizzled, Woods relocated to Germany, where he successfully re-launched his career, releasing the single "Rock Me Baby" and starring in the musical ''Starlight Express''.Woods, Cheri. Stephen Gerard Woods (born 23 February 1970) is a Scottish football coach who currently works as a goalkeeping coach for Celtic. Woods played as a goalkeeper for Hibernian, Clydebank, Preston North End, Motherwell and St Mirren. After retiring as a player in 2005, Woods worked as the goalkeeping coach for Livingston and Dunfermline Athletic. He was appointed to a full-time coaching position with Celtic in 2007. Alex McLeish appointed Woods to an assistant coaching position with the Scotland national team in March 2018. Woods became the head of engineering for Google Canada where he was until 2021, when he joined Canadian Venture capital firm iNovia Capital as partner and CTO, following in the footsteps of Patrick Pichette, Google's CFO who also joined iNovia after leaving Google. Stephen John Woods (born 15 December 1976) is an English former footballer who played in the Football League for Chesterfield, Plymouth Argyle, Stoke City and Torquay United. Career Woods was born in Davenham, Cheshire and began his career as a trainee with Stoke City, turning professional in August 1994. He made his league debut in March 1998, coming on as first-half substitute for Ally Pickering in a 2–1 defeat at home to Huddersfield Town. Later that month he joined Plymouth Argyle on loan, making five appearances before returning to Stoke. Woods' first start for Stoke, under manager Brian Little, came on the opening day of the 1998–99 season, a 3–1 home victory over Northampton Town. He remained a regular in the side for most of the season playing in 39 matches with Stoke finishing in a poor position of 8th.
