Stevie Gill
Stevie Gill (born September 8, 1973) is a Canadian former soccer player who played in the Canadian Soccer League, American Professional Soccer League, Canadian International Soccer League, and Canadian Professional Soccer League. After his retirement from soccer he began managing as an assistant coach in the CPSL, and later at the college level with Grand Canyon University. Playing career Gill started his career in 1987 in the Canadian Soccer League with the Toronto Blizzard. He was traded to the Hamilton Steelers in 1991, and appeared in two playoff games. Once the season came to a conclusion Hamilton folded and he signed with the London Lasers. In 1993, he returned to the Toronto Blizzard which joined the American Professional Soccer League. Scarborough (; 2021 Canadian census, 2021 Census 629,941) is a district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is situated atop the Scarborough Bluffs in the eastern part of the city. Open Canada Cup
The Open Canada Cup was an annual knock-out cup competition in Canadian Soccer. The competition was first held during the 1998 season as the CPSL League Cup. It was organized by the Canadian Soccer League (formerly the Canadian Professional Soccer League) originally as a League Cup for CSL member clubs. After operating the competition for several seasons as an exclusive tournament the league's ownership decided in 2003 to grant accessibility to all Canadian professional and amateur clubs. The decision was influenced by the lack of initiative by the Canadian Soccer Association in providing a potential candidate for the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. Further reforms consisted of title sponsorship with the Government of Canada and the inclusion of a financial reward for the overall champion.
