Steven Boyd
Steven Boyd (born 12 April 1997) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Boyd has previously played for Hamilton Academical, Albion Rovers, Livingston, East Fife, Peterhead and Alloa Athletic. Club career After being a member of the youth system at Celtic (where he moved through the age groups with Kieran Tierney and won multiple trophies including the Glasgow Cup) Boyd was released and signed for Hamilton Academical in 2014; he made his senior debut for the club in the Scottish Premiership on 23 May 2015, a few weeks after turning 18. The following season, he made only five league appearances but was in the match day squad for the majority of fixtures, and a regular in the SPFL Development League. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. As with any attacking player, the role of the forward relies heavily on being able to create space for attack. Kieran Tierney
Kieran Tierney (born 5 June 1997) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a left-back or centre-back for Premier League club Arsenal and the Scotland national team. Tierney came through the Celtic youth system and made his first team debut in April 2015, and his full international debut in March 2016. The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. Scottish Professional Football League
The Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) is the national men's association football league in Scotland. The league was formed in June 2013 following a merger between the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League.
