Steve Vasturia
Stephen Paul Vasturia (born February 10, 1995) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the University of Notre Dame. Early life and high school career Vasturia is the son of Kathy Vasturia, who played basketball at Dickinson College and was inducted into its hall of fame in 1994. His father John played baseball and football at the University of Pennsylvania. Steve Vasturia attended St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia. As a junior, he led St. Joe's to a Class AAAA state title and scored 35 points in the championship, tying a record held by Wilt Chamberlain. His No. 32 jersey is retired at St. Joseph's Prep. College career As a sophomore at Notre Dame, Vasturia averaged 10.1 points per game. He scored 15 points in a win against Wichita State in the NCAA Tournament. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. The Liga Española de Baloncesto, also known as LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the FEB. The Liga Española de Baloncesto is divided into two categories (the other one is the LEB Plata). The LEB league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. It was renamed LEB Oro in 2007. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the LEB Oro are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The Wichita State Shockers men's basketball team is the NCAA Division I college basketball program representing Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas.
