Steve Vallos
Steve Vallos (born December 28, 1983) is a former American football center in the National Football League (NFL). He was most recently on the roster for the Tennessee Titans of the NFL. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He was an All-American at Wake Forest. Vallos has also played for the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Denver Broncos. Early years Vallos attended Boardman High School in Boardman, Ohio, where he played football. He was selected to participate in the Big 33 Football Classic in July 2002. He lettered all four years in track and field, and placed first in discus for Mahoning County as a senior. Vallos earned ''The Vindicator'' track all-star honors for all four years of high school. Center (gridiron Football)
Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost Lineman (American football), lineman of the offensive line on a football team's Offense (sports), offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "Snap (gridiron football), snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each Play from scrimmage, play. The importance of centers for a football team has increased, due to the re-emergence of 3–4 defenses. According to Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome, "you need to have somebody who can neutralize that nose tackle. If you don't, everything can get screwed up. Big 33 Football Classic
The Big 33 Football Classic is an all-star American football game featuring the top high-school football players in Pennsylvania. Played since 1957, the game is often described as the "Super Bowl of High School Football." Contests currently pit players from Pennsylvania against players from Maryland, but opponents in the past have also included players from Ohio and Texas. Recent games have been held at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania. While the game was originally played with the best 33 players in each state (hence its name), the organizers added a 34th player to give kickers a chance to be separate of the 33 count as to give one more non-kicker a chance to be named to the Big 33. Thus, there are 34 players from each state who are invited to play in this game on the original roster. Rivals
A rivalry is the state of two people or groups engaging in a lasting competitive relationship. Rivalry is the "against each other" spirit between two competing sides. The relationship itself may also be called "a rivalry", and each participant or side a rival to the other. Someone's main rival may be called an archrival. The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is a collegiate athletic conference located in the eastern United States.
