Steven Stadelman (born October 30, 1960) is an American politician and former television journalist who has been a Democratic Party (United States), Democratic member of the Illinois Senate since 2013, representing the 34th district. The district is based in Winnebago County, Illinois, Winnebago County and includes all or part of the municipalities of Rockford, Illinois, Rockford, Machesney Park, Illinois, Machesney Park, Loves Park, Illinois, Loves Park and Cherry Valley, Illinois, Cherry Valley. Dave Syverson (born June 29, 1957) is a Republican member of the Illinois Senate representing the 35th district since 2013. Previously, he represented the 34th district from 1993 to 2013. Early life, education and career He was born June 29, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Rockford in his early childhood. He attended Guilford High School and Rock Valley College as a business major. Illinois Senate Syverson was first elected to the Illinois State Senate in 1992.
