Steve Seddon
Steven Jeffrey Seddon (born 25 December 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Cambridge United, on loan from fellow club Oxford United. Seddon was on the books of Reading as a youngster before joining Birmingham City in 2014 when he left school. He spent the first half of the 2018–19 season on loan to League Two club Stevenage, for whom he made his Football League debut, and the second half on loan to AFC Wimbledon of League One. In 2019–20 he was loaned to Portsmouth and he spent the first half of the 2020–21 season back with AFC Wimbledon. He made 12 appearances for Birmingham before leaving for Oxford United in 2021. Harlee James Dean (born 26 July 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a central defender for club Birmingham City. He began his career at Dagenham & Redbridge, and had a number of spells on loan at non-League clubs in the Essex and Hertfordshire area, before moving to Southampton in 2010. Cambridge United Football Club is a professional association football club based in the city of Cambridge, England. In sports, a loan involves a particular player being able to temporarily play for a club other than the one to which they are currently contracted. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to a full season, sometimes persisting for multiple seasons at a time. A loan fee can be arranged by the parent club as well as them asking to pay a percentage of their wages. Association football Players may be loaned out to other clubs for several reasons. Most commonly, young prospects will be loaned to a club in a lower league in order to gain invaluable first team experience. In this instance, the parent club may continue to pay the player's wages in full or in part. 2018–19 EFL Cup
The 2018–19 EFL Cup was the 59th season of the EFL Cup. Also known as the Carabao Cup for sponsorship reasons, the competition was open to all 92 clubs participating in the Premier League and the English Football League. The first round was played on 14 August 2018, ten days after the start of the Football League season. Manchester City successfully defended their title, their first step in becoming the first English team to complete a domestic treble for the football season, as they later won the 2018–19 Premier League and the 2018–19 FA Cup. The final was held at Wembley Stadium in London on 24 February 2019. EFL Championship
The English Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) is the highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and second-highest overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. Substitute (association Football)
In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
