Steve Parkin (musician)
Steve Parkin is an Australian musician and singer-songwriter. Born in United Kingdom and raised in Perth. He is a founder member of 1990s Perth garage pop three-piece, Autopilot, who released two EPs, ''Pure Gold Baby'' in 1998 and ''Out of the Sun'' in 2001. He was also a band member of Basement Birds. He co-wrote material for Eskimo Joe's 2009 album '' Inshalla'', which peaked at number one on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Albums Chart. One of the tracks, " Foreign Land", won 'Most Played Australian Work' at the APRA Awards of 2010. Early life Born in United Kingdom and raised in Perth. Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. Warner Music Australia Pty Limited (WMA) is the Australian division of the Warner Music Group. WMA also distributes in New Zealand. History In 1969, Warner Bros. Records branched out and WEA was born. The first country in which it was established was Canada, with the second being Australia. "Debaser" is a song by American alternative rock band Pixies, and is the first song on their 1989 album '' Doolittle''. The song was written and sung by frontman Black Francis and was produced by Gil Norton during ''Doolittle'''s recording sessions. Releases The " Head On" single includes a live version of the song recorded in Chicago on August 9, 1989, and a recording from Debaser December 16, 2004, in New York City appears on ''"Hey" – Live Pixies 2004–2005''. Pollyanna was an indie rock band that formed in Sydney, Australia in early 1992. They released four studio albums: ''Long Player'' (1996), ''Hello Halo'' (1997), ''Delta City Skies'' (1999) and ''Didn't Feel a Thing'' (2001). ''Long Player'', their highest-charting release, peaked at No. 31 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Two of their tracks, 'Pale Grey Eyes' and 'Lemonsuck', were listed on the 1995 Triple J Hottest 100. Hugh Ambrose Jennings (April 2, 1869 – February 1, 1928) was an American professional baseball player, coach and manager from 1891 to 1925. Jennings was a leader, both as a batter and as a shortstop, with the Baltimore Orioles teams that won National League championships in , , and . During those three seasons, Jennings had 355 runs batted in and hit .335, .386, and .401. Jennings was a fiery, hard-nosed player who was not afraid to be hit by a pitch to get on base. In 1896, he was hit by pitches 51 times – a major league record that has never been broken. Ben-Zion "Ben" Glatzer (born 8 October 1959, Perth) is an Australian sound engineer and producer.
