Steve Keiner
Steven "Steve" Keiner is an American competitive eater. He was the 1999 winner of the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, downing 20¼ hot dogs in 12 minutes. Keiner is from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey and like many competitive eaters has used nicknames during contests; one of his nicknames, "Ralph," was given to him by newspaper reporter Gersh Kuntzman Gersh Kuntzman is an Americans, American journalism, journalist. Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest
The Nathan's Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual American hot dog competitive eating competition. It is held each year on Independence Day (United States), July 4th at Nathan's Famous, Nathan's Famous Corporation's original, and best-known restaurant at the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in Coney Island, a neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. The contest has gained public attention in recent years due to the stardom of Takeru Kobayashi, Takeru "The Tsunami" Kobayashi and Joey Chestnut, Joey "Jaws" Chestnut. The defending men's champion is Chestnut, who ate 63 hot dogs in the 2022 contest. The defending women's champion is Miki Sudo, who ate 40 hot dogs in 2022. Rules Major League Eating (MLE), sanctioned by the International Federation of Competitive Eating (IFOCE), has sanctioned the event since 1997. Coney Island
Coney Island is a peninsular neighborhood and entertainment area in the southwestern section of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Gersh Kuntzman is an Americans, American journalism, journalist. Career Journalism Kuntzman previously worked for the ''New York Post'', writing the column "MetroGnome," which ran during 1995–2004. He had a weekly column for ''Newsweek'' online that ran during 2001–2005. In 2005, Kuntzman became editor of ''The Brooklyn Paper'', a group of community newspapers covering Kings County, New York.
