Steve Kamper
Stephen Kamper (born in Sydney) is an Australian politician who was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the member for Rockdale for the Labor Party at the 2015 New South Wales state election. Kamper is currently the Minister for Sport, Minister for Lands and Property, Minister for Small Business, and Minister for Multiculturalism in the Minns ministry. Political career With the retirement of Frank Sartor in the seat of Rockdale at the 2011 New South Wales state election, Labor's national executive selected Kamper as the candidate, causing friction with the local branch. John Flowers of the Liberal Party won the seat in its landslide victory. Three years later in March 2014, a rank and file ballot was conducted to determine the candidate but Mr Kamper was the only nominee. At the 2015 election, Kamper won back the seat for Labor. Kogarah, New South Wales
Kogarah () is a suburb of Southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Kogarah is located 14 kilometres (9 miles) south-west of the Sydney central business district and is considered to be the centre of the St George area. Location Kogarah took its name from Kogarah Bay, a small bay on the northern shore of the Georges River. The suburb originally stretched to the bay but has since been divided up to form the separate suburbs of Kogarah Bay and Beverley Park. James Cook Boys Technology High School
James Cook Boys Technology High School is a boys' secondary school situated on Princes Highway in Kogarah, Australia. The school is named after Captain James Cook, the first recorded European contact with the eastern coastline of Australia. History James Cook was founded in 1956 after Moorefield racecourse was demolished. The site of the racecourse was divided to provide sites for three schools (Moorefield Girls High School, James Cook Boys Technology High School and St George school for kids with severe disabilities), St George TAFE. The rest of the site was allocated for residential development. The school was renamed several times (originally Moorefield Boys High School) before becoming James Cook Boys. The 2023 New South Wales state election will be held on 25 March 2023 to elect the 58th Parliament of New South Wales, including all 93 seats in the Legislative Assembly and 21 of the 42 seats in the Legislative Council. 2011 New South Wales State Election
Elections to the 55th Parliament of New South Wales were held on Saturday, 26 March 2011. The 16-year-incumbent Labor Party government led by Premier Kristina Keneally was defeated in a landslide by the Liberal–National Coalition opposition led by Barry O'Farrell. Labor suffered a two-party swing of 16.4 points, the largest against a sitting government at any level in Australia since World War II. From 48 seats at dissolution, Labor was knocked down to 20 seats—the worst defeat of a sitting government in New South Wales history, and one of the worst of a state government in Australia since federation. Frank Sartor
Francesco Ernest "Frank" Sartor AO (born 9 November 1951) is a former Australian politician who served as New South Wales Minister for Climate Change and the Environment and Minister Assisting the Minister for Health (Cancer) between 2009 and 2011. He was a Member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Rockdale for the Labor Party between 2003 and 2011. Sartor has previously been Minister for Planning, Redfern Waterloo and the Arts, and Minister for Water and Utilities in the Iemma and Carr governments. Before being elected to the New South Wales Parliament, Sartor was the second longest-serving Lord Mayor of Sydney, after Clover Moore, having held the post for nearly 12 years from September 1991 to March 2003.
