Steve Jones (English Presenter)
David "Steve" Jones (born 7 June 1945) is an English disc jockey, television presenter, Voiceover artist and former musician. He is most well known for presenting gameshow '' The Pyramid Game'' from 1981 to 1984 and again in 1989-90. The game had previously been part of LWT's ''The Steve Jones Game Show'' in 1979–1980. He was notable for his large collection of brightly coloured spectacles. In the 1960s, he played as a bassist for Lonnie Donegan, and formed the band Hunt, Lunt & Cunningham. In 1972, he briefly worked as a disc jockey on BBC Radio 1, before moving to the BBC Radio 2 early show. In 1974, he joined Radio Clyde. Later he was a stand-in presenter on Radio 2, for the likes of David Hamilton. In 1980 he provided the BBC Radio 2 commentary for the Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in The Hague. Steve Jones (rugby Union, Born 1951)
Steve "Junna" Jones (19 October 1951 – 9 September 2007) was a Welsh rugby union hooker, who played club rugby for Pontypool RFC and Newport RFC in the 1970s and 80s. He often played in a front row partnership with Staff Jones and Graham Price at Pontypool RFC and was part of the 1983 Pontypool side to win the Schweppes Cup. Although he toured with a Welsh XV to Canada in 1980, the game did not grant the Welsh players any caps. Jones learnt his rugby under the tutelage of Laurie Daniel who was a former Welsh international who played for Pontypool and Newport. He later turned to coaching and in the 1996/97 season became the first full-time coach of Newport. Steve Jones (born 5 January 1960) is a British airline and aerobatics pilot who competed in the Red Bull Air Race World Series, flying a Zivko Edge 540. He is now the championship's head judge. Jones had his first flying lesson at just five years old, in 1965, in a Cessna, on the knee of a family friend. He became a pilot both commercially and competitively. Commercially, Jones was formerly a captain for British Airways, flying a Boeing 747. He spends his off-season working on and racing vintage cars. His company is also rebuilding two vintage wooden racing aircraft. Since 1994, Jones has flown competitively and as a display pilot with Paul Bonhomme in their Red Bull Matadors Team. Darren Kenneth Matthews (born 10 May 1968), better known by the ring name William Regal, is an English retired professional wrestler. He is known for his over 20 years spent in WWE, as both a performer and an on-screen authority, and for his time performing in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Trained by Marty Jones, Matthews started his career in 1983, at the age of 15. His first matches took place at a rare surviving wrestling carnival booth at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Steven Glen Jones (born December 27, 1958) is an American professional golfer, best known for winning the U.S. Open in 1996. Early life and education Jones was born in Artesia, New Mexico. He was a semi-finalist at the U.S. Junior Amateur in 1976. He attended the University of Colorado and turned professional in 1981. Stephen Henry Jones (born 4 August 1955) is a Welsh athlete and set the former world record in the marathon, in his first completed race at that distance at the Chicago Marathon in 1984 with 2:08:05. Biography Jones grew up in Ebbw Vale, Wales and ran his first race at the age of 15 as a member of the Air Training Corps. Dissatisfied with working in a factory as a sewing-machine mechanic, he became an aircraft technician for the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1974, and joined the RAF's running team in 1976. After receiving an invitation to the 1983 Chicago Marathon Jones began training for that distance; he previously had specialized in the 5,000 and 10,000 m, and on 6 Aug 1984, he ran the 1984 Olympic 10,000 m event. Stephen Alexander "Steve" Jones (born 1 July 1949) is a former Australian cricketer who played a single first-class match for Western Australia during the 1975–76 season. Jones was born in Sydney, New South Wales. His only match at state level came against the West Indies during their 1975–76 tour of Australia. The tour match was played at the WACA Ground in December 1975, in between the first and second Test matches of the series. Jones, a right-arm fast bowler, batted tenth in Western Australia's first innings, and scored 36 runs out of a 47-run partnership for the ninth wicket with Ian Brayshaw (100*). Steve "Snapper" Jones
Stephen Howard "Snapper" Jones (October 17, 1942 – November 25, 2017) was an American basketball player in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and National Basketball Association (NBA), and later a television analyst. He was a three-time ABA All-Star. Jones' brother Nick also played in the ABA and NBA. During his time in the ABA, Jones picked up the moniker "Snapper" but he never revealed how it came to be. Steven Howell Jones (born April 22, 1941) is a former left-handed Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 1967 to 1969 for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators and Kansas City Royals. He is the brother of fellow former major leaguer Gary Jones. Prior to playing professional baseball, he attended Whittier College. In 1962, he was signed by the Minnesota Twins as an amateur free agent. On December 2, 1963, he was drafted by the White Sox in the minor league draft. He made his big league debut with the White Sox on August 15, 1967. He started the game, lasting only 4 innings and allowing eight hits, one walk and three earned runs including a home run to Rick Monday. He went 2-2 with a 4.21 ERA in 11 games (three starts) in his first season. On February 13, 1968, he was traded with Ron Hansen and Dennis Higgins to the Senators for Tim Cullen, Buster Narum and Bob Priddy.
