Steve Haskins
Steve Haskins (born November 13, 1958) is an American professional golfer who plays on the Champions Tour. Haskins joined the Nationwide Tour in 1990 and won his first title the following year at the Ben Hogan New England Classic. He won his second event on Tour at the Buy.com Ozarks Open in 2001. He joined the Champions Tour in 2010, earning his card through qualifying school. His father, Don Haskins, Don, was a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Hall of Fame Coach (basketball), basketball coach who led 1965–66 Texas Western Miners basketball team, Texas Western College (now known as the University of Texas at El Paso) to the 1966 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, National Championship in 1966. Groom is a town in Carson County, Texas, United States. The population was 574 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Amarillo, Texas Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is on Interstate Highway 40 (Historic Route 66) east of Amarillo and west of Oklahoma City. Geography Groom is located in the southeastern corner of Carson County at (35.203112, –101.106710). Omar Uresti
Omar David Uresti (born August 3, 1968) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. Early life Uresti was born in Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in Austin and graduated in 1991 with a degree in organizational communication. He turned professional immediately after graduating. Professional career Uresti has two wins on the Web.com Tour: one in 1994 at the Nike Shreveport Open, and one in 2007 at the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship. Uresti went winless in over 350 PGA Tour starts, with two third-place finishes. He says his biggest accomplishment as a golfer was making a professional record nine consecutive birdies in a round on the Nationwide Tour. After his PGA Tour career ended, he became a life member of the Southern Texas chapter of the PGA. SwingThought, formerly the NGA Pro Golf Tour, is the oldest developmental golf tour based in the United States. The tour was acquired by Golf Interact in 2014 and rebranded as SwingThought. The tour consists of around 25 professional golf tournaments, making it the third largest series in the United States after the elite PGA Tour and its developmental series, the Korn Ferry Tour. Panama Open
The Panama Open was a golf tournament played from 1938 to 1982, during which time it was won by some of the biggest names in professional golf, including Sam Snead and Arnold Palmer. It was an event on the PGA-sponsored Caribbean Tour between 1958 and 1974. Following the demise of the Caribbean Tour the tournament was not played for several years, until there was a brief revival between 1979 and 1982. The Panama Open was revived in 1996, when it was an unofficial event on the Canadian Tour; it became an official tournament in 2001 and 2002. New Mexico Open
The New Mexico Open is the New Mexico state open golf tournament, open to both amateur and professional golfers. It is organized by the Sun Country section of the PGA of America. It has been played annually since 1954 at a variety of courses around the state. In 2011 it was hosted at Santa Ana Golf Club on the Santa Ana Pueblo, just north of Albuquerque.
