Stephen Easmon Davies (born 16 July 1960) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder for Congleton Town, Port Vale, Northwich Victoria, Altrincham, and South Liverpool. His son is rugby international Marcus Holden. Career Davies played for Congleton Town, which was formed in 1901, (North West Counties League), before joining John Rudge's Port Vale in December 1987. He came on as a substitute five times, and started one game, in the 1987–88 Third Division campaign. He did not feature at Vale Park in the 1988–89 season, and was instead loaned out to Conference club Northwich Victoria in a three-month deal in February 1989. His contract with the "Valiants" was cancelled in July 1989, at which point he moved on to Altrincham (Conference) and then South Liverpool ( Northern Premier League). Steven Gary Davies (born 29 December 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Runcorn Town. Career Tranmere Rovers Born in Liverpool, Merseyside, Davies came through the youth ranks at Tranmere Rovers, making his first team debut at the age of 17 on 12 August 2005 in a 4–0 victory against Oldham Athletic. He went on to make another 25 appearances in all competitions (the majority as a substitute) during the 2005–06 season, scoring twice. Though initially established as a striker, lack of starting opportunities due to the form of Chris Greenacre saw him switch to the left wing from which he scored his first goal of the 2006–07 season in Tranmere's victory over Blackpool. West Coast Eagles
The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), then known as the Victorian Football League. The club plays its home games at Perth Stadium and has its headquarters at Lathlain Park. The West Australian Football Commission wholly owns the West Coast Eagles and the Fremantle Football Club, the AFL's other Western Australian team. Stephen Harris Davies (1881-1961) was the third Bishop of Carpentaria. Early life Davies was born in 1883 and educated at St. John's School, Leatherhead, and Emmanuel College, Cambridge. Religious life Davies was ordained in 1909. After a curacy at St Matthew's, Holbeck he emigrated to Australia where he joined the Bush Brotherhood of St Paul in Charleville, Queensland, serving as its head until his ordination to the episcopate. In 1925 he ordained the first two Torres Strait Islanders to become priests, Poey Passi and Joseph Lui Joseph Lui (died 17 May 1941) was one of the first two Torres Strait Islanders to be ordained a priest in the Anglican Church of Australia (then called the Church of England in Australia) in 1925. Stephen John James Frank Davies (26 April 1935 - 29 October 2020) was an Australian administrator and ornithologist. He worked for the CSIRO Division of Wildlife Research in Western Australia (1964–1984). He carried out research on emus and magpie geese. He was a member of the Royal Australasian Ornithologists Union (RAOU), President (1975-1978) and Chairman of the RAOU Research Committee (1975–1984). He was elected a Fellow of the RAOU in 1984. Stephen Davies is a Distinguished Professor of philosophy at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He mainly writes on aesthetics, particularly the philosophy of music but also works on political philosophy. He is a past president of the American Society for Aesthetics (2007–2008), and the New Zealand division of the Australasian Association of Philosophy (2001). Work One of Davies's first journal publications was 'The Expression of Emotion in Music', published in ''Mind'' in 1980 (Vol. 89, pp. 67–86). In this article Davies first outlined his theory that music is expressive of emotions in virtue of resembling the way that emotions appear.
