Stephen Bennett (golfer)
Stephen Bennett (born 23 April 1959) is an English professional golfer. Bennett was born in Cleethorpes. He turned professional in 1979 and won a place on the European Tour on his first visit to Qualifying School. He played on the Tour through much of the 1980s and 1990s, but didn't always manage to retain his tour card. His best season was 1985, when he finished 33rd on the Order of Merit, and picked up his only European Tour win at the Tunisian Open. He also won the 1986 Zimbabwe Open. After leaving the tour, he ran a golf academy called Swingtime in Grimsby. Bennett was coached by Eric Sharp, father in law to fellow professional Gordon J. Brand. Steve Bennett (referee)
Stephen Graham Bennett (born 17 January 1961 in Farnborough, Kent) is a former English football referee who operated in the Premier League, and previously for FIFA as an assistant referee and then referee. Career Bennett has been a referee since 1984, starting out in his home county of Kent. In 1995, he began refereeing in the Football League, and since 1999 in the Premier League. In 2001, he was appointed as an official FIFA referee. Bennett took charge of an official friendly international match, known as "The Other Final", in 2002, between the two lowest FIFA-ranked teams in the world at the time, Bhutan and Montserrat, at the Changlimithang Stadium, Thimphu, Bhutan. This took place on the morning of the World Cup Final in that year, and the home side won 4–0. Stephen Bennett (born 8 October 1995) is an Irish hurling, hurler who plays for Waterford Intermediate Hurling Championship, Waterford Intermediate Championship club Ballysaggart GAA, Ballysaggart and at inter-county level with the Waterford senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-forward. Playing career Blackwater Community School Bennett first came to prominence as a hurler with Blackwater Community School in Lismore, County Waterford, Lismore. Steven Bennett (born 21 November 1991) is an English former footballer who played as a striker in the Football League. Career Bennett made his debut for Barnsley on 26 December 2010, in the Football League Championship match against Burnley, coming on as a second-half substitute for Andy Gray. He made three more appearances for Barnsley before being released by the club in May 2011 with four other players. Stephen Bennett (born December 31, 1950) is an American activist, educator, and politician serving as a member of the California State Assembly from the 38th district as a member of the Democratic Party. Prior to his tenure in the state legislature, he was active in local politics in Ventura, California, and Ventura County, California, with him serving on the city council and board of supervisors. Bennett was born in Indiana, and educated at Brown University and Butler University. He worked as an educator at Calabasas High School and Nordhoff High School before moving to Ventura. He first came to public attention in the band LaHost in the 1980s as part of the New wave of progressive rock who had headlined at the Marquee Club in London.
