Stephen Scott Bell (December 9, 1935 – January 25, 2019) was an American journalist and educator. He was news anchor of the ABC News programs '' Good Morning America'' and ''World News This Morning'', and a professor emeritus of telecommunications at Ball State University. Early life A native of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Bell studied as an undergraduate at Iowa's Central College and went on to earn a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Career Bell was an ABC News correspondent from 1967 to 1986. He first covered the Vietnam War in 1967, and was held in detention in Cambodia in 1970 while investigating an alleged massacre of nearly 100 Vietnamese civilians by Cambodian soldiers. He met Ted Koppel, later the anchor of the ABC program '' Nightline,'' during his years in Southeast Asia, and they became good friends. Steven William Maclean Bell (born 26 February 1951) is an English political cartoonist, whose work appears in ''The Guardian'' and other publications. He is known for his left-wing views. Early life Born in Walthamstow and raised in Slough, Bell moved with his family in 1968 to North Yorkshire, where he trained as an artist at the Teesside College of Art. He graduated in film-making and art from the University of Leeds in 1974 and trained as an art teacher at St Luke's College, Exeter (now St Luke's Campus at the University of Exeter), in 1975. He taught art for one year in Birmingham, before resigning to become a freelance cartoonist in 1977. Steve Bell, C.M., O.M., (born November 17, 1960) is a Canadian singer/songwriter and guitarist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is among the best-known Christian musicians in Canada and is an accomplished songwriter and record producer. Before embarking on his solo career he was a long-time member of the group Elias, Schritt and Bell. In 1989, Bell founded the independent recording label Signpost Music along with Dave Zeglinski, long-time friend and co-producer. His first solo album, ''Comfort My People'', was released on Signpost that same year. Bell now has twenty albums to his credit. Among his many awards are two Junos, several GMA Canada Covenant Awards and the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Musical career Steve Bell has been performing music since childhood. Steve Bell (born January 7, 1975) is a retired American soccer midfielder who played professionally in the Continental Indoor Soccer League and USL A-League. He is a play-by-play soccer broadcaster and sideline reporter for the Fox Soccer Channel. Youth Bell graduated from Peters Township High School. He attended the Robert Morris University, playing on the men's soccer team from 1993 to 1996. Robert Morris won the Northeast Conference Regular Season title in 1995 with a perfect 8-0 conference record. Bell finished the season with 6 goals and 9 assists (2nd most in the Northeast Conference). Professional In 1997, Bell played for the Washington Warthogs of the Continental Indoor Soccer League. Steven "Steve" Bell (born 28 May 1976) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Catalans Dragons in the Super League. A Queensland State of Origin representative three-quarter, he previously played club football in the NRL for the Melbourne Storm, then the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles (with whom he won the 2008 NRL Grand Final). Early life Bell was born in Rockhampton, Queensland and was raised in Emerald, Queensland. He played junior rugby league for Emerald Tigers, winning premierships in under-15s and under-17s. Bell started his career with Dundee United, before moving on to play for Queen of the South, Stirling Albion, Dunfermline Athletic, Stranraer, Ayr United, Partick Thistle and Kelty Hearts.
