Stephen Thompson (football Chairman)
Stephen Thompson (born 1965 or 1966) is a Scottish businessman, who was the chairman of Scottish football club Dundee United. He is the son of former United chairman Eddie Thompson, who died of prostate cancer in October 2008. Stephen Thompson then succeeded to the chair of Dundee United, a position he held until March 2018. Involvement with Dundee United Thompson joined the Dundee United board in 2002 whilst taking on the role as Marketing Director at Morning, Noon and Night. His father Eddie Thompson was the founder and Chief executive at Morning, Noon and Night and also the chairman of Dundee United. In February 2008, his father promoted him as chief executive with immediate effect. Following the 2010 Scottish Cup victory, Thompson says he dedicated the cup to his late father. Steve Thompson (born February 12, 1945) is a former American football defensive tackle. He played high school football at Lake Stevens High School and college football at the University of Washington in Seattle under head coach Jim Owens. Selected in the second round of the 1968 NFL/AFL Draft (44th overall), Thompson spent five seasons with the New York Jets in 1968–1970 and 1972–1973 before playing with the Portland Storm of the World Football League in 1974 and the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League in 1975. From 1991 to August 2015, he was the senior pastor at Victory Foursquare Church in Marysville, Washington. Stephen Thompson (born 1967) is a British playwright and screenwriter. Background Thompson studied at the University of Warwick. He gained a maths degree but also did some English studies in his third year. Thompson worked as a maths teacher for twelve years at Tiffin School, and was head of maths. Thompson left teaching in 2000 and became a full-time dad and house husband to his children. He has stated this was because his wife was earning much more money than him. Steve Thompson is an American record producer and remixer who has worked with artists including Guns N' Roses, Life of Agony, Tesla, Madonna, John Lennon, Wu-Tang Clan and Korn.
