Stephen Jordan (Canadian Football)
Stephen Jordan (born August 27, 1966) is a former award-winning Canadian Football League defensive back. Jordan played his college football at the University of Illinois. His professional career began with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1989, the year he won the CFL's Most Outstanding Rookie Award. After another year in Hamilton, he finished his career after two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos The Edmonton Elks are a professional Canadian football team based in Edmonton, Alberta. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs.
