Stephen Handy
Stephen G. Handy (born March 4, 1951) is an American politician who served as a member of the Utah House of Representatives for the 16th district. He assumed office on April 15, 2010. Early life and education Handy was born in Ogden, Utah. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Science in human resource management from the University of Utah. Professional and political career When not at the legislature, Handy works at his public relations and marketing consulting firm, Stephen J. Handy Marketing Communications Inc. Before serving in the state legislature, Stephen Handy served eight years on the Layton City Council. He also ran to become Layton's Mayor, but was unsuccessful. Kevin Garn
Kevin Stacy Garn (born January 14, 1955) is an American politician and the former Republican majority leader of the Utah House of Representatives. Until his resignation on March 13, 2010, following personal disclosures, he represented District 16 of Utah, which covers Davis County, Utah. Early life, education and business career Kevin Garn was born in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Layton High School. Garn attended Weber State University. He dropped out to focus on his business, KSG Distributing, a music and movie distribution company that he started while still in high school. Garn founded Pegasus Music and Video, a music and retail store, in 1985 after purchasing an existing store in Bountiful. Pegasus expanded from one location to thirteen stores throughout Utah and in Montana, and Idaho. Garn sold Pegasus to Wherehouse Entertainment in 1993. The Utah State Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Utah. It is a bicameral body, comprising the Utah House of Representatives, with 75 state representatives, and the Utah Senate, with 29 state senators. There are no term limits for either chamber.
