Stephen Cassidy (Gaelic Footballer)
Stephen Cassidy is an Irish former Gaelic footballer, born in Glasgow, Scotland, but living in Gweedore, County Donegal, from a young age. He played his club football for Gaoth Dobhair and was on his county team. Cassidy made his Donegal debut in October in what was Mickey Moran's first game in charge, a league victory at home to Offaly, in which he scored a point. Cassidy was first called up to the Donegal senior team by Brian McEniff for winter training in 2003. With his county he played in the League, the Championship and the Dr McKenna Cup. With his club he scored a goal and a point in the final of the 2006 Donegal Senior Football Championship, which his team won. CLG Ghaoth Dobhair
CLG Ghaoth Dobhair is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA club based in the parish of Gaoth Dobhair (anglicize to Gweedore) in northwest County Donegal, Republic of Ireland. They are one of the strongholds of Gaelic football in County Donegal. Their home ground is at Machaire Gathlán, and they are the most successful club in both the Donegal Senior Football Championship and Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta. Kevin Cassidy (born 1981) is an Irish-Scottish Gaelic footballer, businessperson, columnist and commentator. Though born in Glasgow, Scotland, he has been living in Gaoth Dobhair, County Donegal from a young age. Cassidy plays his club football for Gaoth Dobhair, with whom he has won three Donegal Senior Football Championships and one Ulster Senior Club Football Championship. Donegal Senior Football Championship
The Donegal Senior Football Championship (abbreviated as Donegal SFC) is an annual football competition organised by Donegal GAA and contested by the highest-level clubs, to determine the best team in County Donegal. Since 2016, it has been known as Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure Donegal SFC after its headline sponsor. Initially a straight knock-out competition, the Donegal SFC added a round-robin group stage in 2013. The final is played at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey. The winning club qualifies to represent its county in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship, the winners of which go on to compete in the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. The winning club receives the Dr Maguire Cup. The competition has been won by 17 clubs, 14 of which have won it more than once. The Dr McKenna Cup is an annual Gaelic football competition played between Counties of Ireland, counties and List of universities in Northern Ireland, universities in the province of Ulster GAA, Ulster. Brian McEniff
Brian McEniff (born 1 December 1942) is a former Gaelic football manager, administrator and player. McEniff played as a wing-back for the St Joseph's combination of clubs from Bundoran and Ballyshannon. He won seven Donegal Senior Football Championships with them, and another one with Réalt na Mara when St Joseph's divided. He won two Ulster Senior Football Championships with the Donegal county team as player-manager in 1972 and 1974, and was awarded an All Star after the first of these, before being ousted. He returned to manage the county to a third Ulster SFC in 1983, then left again. He returned once more in 1989, leading the county to its fourth and fifth Ulster SFCs in 1990 and 1992, as well as the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in the last of these. The Donegal county football team ( ) represents Donegal in men's Gaelic football and is governed by Donegal GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association.
