Stelvio National Park
Stelvio National Park ( it, Parco nazionale dello Stelvio; german: Nationalpark Stilfser Joch) is a national park in northeast Italy, established in 1935.Law no. 740 on the Constitution of the Stelvio National Park, published in ''Gazzetta Ufficiale del Regno d'Italia'' on June 3, 1935. Trento
Trento ( or ; Ladin and lmo, Trent; german: Trient ; cim, Tria; , ), also anglicized as Trent, is a city on the Adige River in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol in Italy. Swiss National Park
The Swiss National Park ( rm, Parc Naziunal Svizzer; german: Schweizerischer Nationalpark; it, Parco Nazionale Svizzero; french: Parc National Suisse) is located in the Western Rhaetian Alps, in eastern Switzerland. It is within the canton of Graubünden, between Zernez, S-chanf, Scuol, and the Fuorn Pass in the Engadin valley on the border with Italy. It is part of the worldwide UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Adamello Brenta Natural Park
The Adamello Brenta Natural Park ( it, Parco naturale Adamello Brenta) is a nature reserve in Trentino, Italy. Established in 1967, it encompasses most of the Adamello-Presanella Alps as well as the Brenta Dolomites; it is the largest natural park in Trentino and along with the adjacent Stelvio National Park, Swiss National Park and Adamello Regional Park, it forms the largest protected area in the Alps, nearly 400,000 hectares. It is a UNESCO Global Geopark since 2008. The park is home to 1,300 species of plants and flowers as well as numerous animals, including the brown bear; in fact, by the 1990s the last surviving specimens of brown bear in the Italian Alps lived in the Brenta Dolomites, and the population was brought back from near-extinction (two or three specimens) to the current population of over ninety specimens thanks to a reintroduction project funded by the European Union, making the brown bear the symbol of the park. Adamello Regional Park
The Adamello Regional Park ( it, Parco regionale dell'Adamello) is a nature reserve in Lombardy, Italy. Established in 1983, it encompasses the Lombard portion of the Adamello-Presanella Alps; together with the adjacent Stelvio National Park, Swiss National Park and Adamello Brenta Natural Park, it forms the largest protected area in the Alps, nearly 400,000 hectares. The park has an area of over 50,000 hectares, ranging in elevation from 390 to 3,539 meters above sea level. The Adamello Glacier, the largest glacier in Italy (16 square kilometres), is located within the park. The park's fauna includes the brown bear, the wolf, the red deer, the roe deer, the alpine ibex, the chamois, the marmot, the stoat, the golden eagle, the rock ptarmigan and the western capercaillie.
