Stella Seah
Stella Seah (born Seah Hui Xian; 28 October 1992) is a Singaporean singer-songwriter currently signed under Ocean Butterflies Music. She was discovered after winning Starhub's first reality singing contest, ''Academy Fantasia'' in 2012. She was also a semi-finalist on Campus Superstar in 2007. In admiration of her perseverance to pursue a career as a singer, an anonymous sponsor had also provided her with funding for her final year of studies in LASALLE's Diploma in Music programme. Seah is also a member of singing-songwriting duo StellaVee. Mandarin Pop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s. 'Mandopop' may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Though Mandopop predates Cantopop, the English term was coined around 1980 after "Cantopop" became a popular term for describing popular songs in Cantonese. "Mandopop" was used to describe Mandarin-language popular songs of that time, some of which were versions of Cantopop songs sung by the same singers with different lyrics to suit the different rhyme and tonal patterns of Mandarin. Sing! China (season 2)
The second season of the Chinese reality talent show ''Sing! China'' premiered on 14 July 2017 on Zhejiang Television. Jay Chou and Na Ying returned as coaches. Eason Chan and Liu Huan replaced Wang Feng and Harlem Yu as coaches. The show is hosted by Hu Qiaohua, who had previously hosted the finals in the last season and replaced Li Yong, who left after just one season. On 8 October, Tashi Phuntsok 扎西平措 of Team Liu Huan was announced as the winner of the season, making him the oldest winner of the series. Doris Guo 郭沁 of Team Na Ying was the runner-up. ''Good Luck'' (Chinese: 百岁大吉) is a Lunar New Year drama serial produced by MediaCorp Studios and aired on Channel 8. The show aired at 9pm on weekdays and had a repeat telecast at 8am the following day. Music call for this series was announced in 2014. Hong Huifang portrays a centenarian who is a matriarch of a 4-generation family in the series; other characters include Chen Shucheng, Chen Liping, Rayson Tan, Romeo Tan, Chris Tong, Kym Ng, Terence Cao, Zhang Zhenhuan, Paige Chua and Aloysius Pang. Na Ying
Na Ying (born 27 November 1967) is a Chinese singer and musical judge. She is known for her prominent roles as a judge on Chinese TV singing shows such as ''The Voice of China''. She later transferred to the show '' Sing! China'' and remained there until 2017. Biography Debut Na was born in Shenyang, Liaoning of ethnic Manchu parents. She became a member of the Liaoning Juvenile Broadcasting Chorus in 1979, and the Shenyang Singing and Dancing Troupe in 1983. In 1983, Na won the "Sunshine Ring" national singing contest and received vocal training from the famous composer Gu Jianfen (). Na began her recording career in 1988 in Taiwan and Hong Kong. ''Sing! China'' (; formerly ) is a Chinese singing competition television series broadcast on Zhejiang Television. It premiered during the summer on 15 July 2016. It is a re-branded version of '' The Voice of China'', a show based on the original ''The Voice of Holland''. It has aired six seasons and aims to find new singing talent (solo or duets, professional and amateur) contested by aspiring singers drawn from public auditions.
