Stein Olav Hestad
Stein Olav "Laffen" Hestad (born 30 June 1952) is a Norwegian former footballer. Hestad spent his entire playing career at Molde FK, where he previously had club record with 681 first-team matches, including 249 matches in the Norwegian top division. Unlike his brother, Harry, "Laffen" was never capped for Norway. Club career Hestad got his debut in a competitive match on 1 May 1971 in a second tier league game Molde lost 0–1 at home to Aalesund. He played a total of 249 top division matches for Molde and scored 27 goals. He won the silver medal in the Norwegian league in 1974 and 1987. He was also at Moldes losing Norwegian Cup finalist teams in both the 1982 Norwegian Football Cup and 1989 Norwegian Football Cup. Molde () is a town and municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Romsdal. 1989 Norwegian Football Cup
The 1989 Norwegian Football Cup was the 84th edition of the Norwegian Football Cup. The final took place at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on 22 October 1989. Viking were in their 8th final (3 wins and 4 runners-up), while Molde were in their second final after losing the 1982 final against Brann and therefore had the chance to win the first trophy in the club's history. The match was drawn and was replayed on 29 October 1989 resulting in a win for Viking. Molde FK Players
Molde Fotballklubb, also known simply as Molde FK, is a Norwegian professional football club based in Molde. The club is affiliated with Nordmøre og Romsdal Fotballkrets and play their home games at Aker Stadion. Formed on 19 June 1911, the club have won five national league titles and five national cup titles. Molde participated in the UEFA Champions League in 1999 where they met Real Madrid, Porto and Olympiacos in the group stage. Odd Berg (footballer)
Odd Sigurd Berg (born 3 January 1952) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. As a player, he played mostly for Molde FK. In 1974, he became top goalscorer in the top division with 13 goals, the first Molde-player to become top scorer in the top division. He later coached Molde, both as an assistant and head coach. Playing career Berg played for Molde from 1968 to 1975. In 1973, he contributed to Molde's promotion to 1. divisjon, the first tier. He became the club's first ever first-tier top scorer by scoring 13 goals in the 1974 season, where Molde finished in second place and were awarded silver medals. Berg was capped twice for Norway under-21 in 1974. He played half a season for Lyn in the 1976 season, before retiring from top level football.
