Steffan Hughes (rugby Union)
Steffan Hughes (born 17 February 1994) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for Dragons RFC as a centre. Hughes previously played for the Scarlets regional team. He is a Wales Under-20 international and previously captained the side. Hughes made his debut for the Scarlets regional team in 2014 having previously played for the Scarlets academy. Ahead of the 2019-2020 season, Hughes was named as one of the Scarlets' vice-captains along with Werner Kruger, James Davies and Jonathan Davies. Hughes had first captained the Scarlets side against the Cheetahs during the 2017-2018 season. Llanelli
Llanelli ("St Elli's Parish"; ) is a market town and the largest community in Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales. It is located on the Loughor estuary north-west of Swansea and south-east of the county town, Carmarthen. The town had a population of 25,168 in 2011, estimated in 2019 at 26,225. The local authority was Llanelli Borough Council when the county of Dyfed existed, but it has been under Carmarthenshire County Council since 1996. Jonathan Davies (rugby Union, Born 1988)
Jonathan Davies (born 5 April 1988) is a Welsh professional rugby union player who plays at centre for the Scarlets and the Wales national team. He is commonly known as "Fox", differentiating him from the Jonathan Davies who played both rugby union and rugby league during the 1980s and 1990s. His brother is James Davies, who also played professional rugby for Wales as a flanker. Early life Born to Welsh parents in Solihull, England, Davies moved at a young age with his family to Bancyfelin, Carmarthenshire, where his parents ran the Fox & Hounds Pub; Davies is nicknamed "Fox" after the pub. Scarlets Players
The Scarlets () are one of the four professional Welsh rugby union teams and are based in Llanelli, Wales. Their home ground is the Parc y Scarlets stadium. They play in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup (which replaced the Heineken Cup from the 2014–15 season). The club was originally named the Llanelli Scarlets but was renamed at the start of the 2008–09 rugby season. The Llanelli Scarlets were founded in 2003, as one of the five (now four) regional teams created by the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU). The Cheetahs (known for sponsorship reasons as the Toyota Cheetahs), is a South African professional rugby union team that played Super Rugby between 2006 and 2017, before joining the Pro14 (Now United Rugby Championship) competition prior to the 2017–18 season. James Davies (rugby Union)
James Davies (born 25 October 1990) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for the Scarlets as a flanker. He has also represented Wales Sevens and was part of the Great Britain squad that played in the Rugby Sevens tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Davies made his debut for the Scarlets in 2014 making 23 appearances in his debut season, 16 in the Pro12, scoring four tries and winning four man of the match awards. His brother is Jonathan Davies, who also plays professional rugby union as a centre for Scarlets and Wales. Werner Kruger
Werner Kruger (born 23 January 1985 in Kempton Park, South Africa) is a former rugby union player who played at prop. He ended his career playing for Scarlets in the Pro14, having spent the bulk of his career at Super Rugby side the , where he made his debut during the 2008 season. Kruger was part of the Bulls team that won both the 2009 and 2010 Super 14 finals. He played for the Blue Bulls in the Currie Cup and has represented South Africa at under 21 level. He won the Pro12 with the Scarlets in the 2016/2017 season against Munster Rugby. Wales National Under-20 Rugby Union Team
The Wales national Under 20 rugby team is for Welsh rugby union players aged 20 or under on 1 January of the year during which they are selected. Under 20 age grade rugby came into existence, as a result of the IRB combining the Under 19 Rugby World Championship and Under 21 Rugby World Championship into a single IRB Junior World Championship tournament.
