Stefanos Kotsolis
Stefanos Kotsolis ( el, Στέφανος Κοτσόλης; born 5 June 1979) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Panathinaikos Born in Athens, Kotsolis joined Panathinaikos as an 18-year-old youth player in 1997 and made sporadic appearances over his first five seasons at Panathinaikos. The imposing form of first-choice keeper Antonios Nikopolidis and the presence of Józef Wandzik, Kostas Chalkias and Mario Galinović kept Kotsolis most of that time at the bench. He made his professional debut for Panathinaikos on 13 April 1999, in a Greek Cup game against Athinaikos. AEL In 2005, Kotsolis was transferred to AEL where he made a total of 121 appearances, playing there until June 2009. During season 2006/2007, he won the Greek Cup after beating his former club Panathinaikos at the final. LTV Super Cup
The Cypriot Super Cup is a Cypriot football trophy, contested in an annual match between the previous season's Cypriot First Division champions, and the Cypriot Cup winners. The match is contested at the beginning of the football season, and is usually played at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia. The most successful team in the competition are Omonia, who have won the trophy on 17 occasions. The current holders are Apollon Limassol, who defeated Omonia 2–0 in the 2022 match. History The first match was played in 1951, under the name Pakkos Shield (Greek: Ασπίδα Πάκκου). The trophy was not awarded to the winner of the match, but would instead be awarded to the overall most successful team in the competition, after 10 matches. 2002–03 Alpha Ethniki
The 2002–03 Alpha Ethniki was the 67th season of the highest football league of Greece. The season began on 24 August 2002 and ended on 25 May 2003. Olympiacos won their seventh consecutive and 32nd Greek title. Olympiacos and Panathinaikos finished the League with the same points total but Olympiacos were crowned champions due to more favourable results between the two teams. It was a very dramatic end to the season, with the decisive game between the two clubs taking place in the penultimate round. The season was interrupted by strike action after television broadcaster Alpha Digital collapsed in September 2002, following which the players didn't play for a month. Super League Greece
The Super League Greece 1 ( el, Ελληνική Σούπερ Λιγκ 1), or Super League 1, is the highest professional association football league in Greece. The league was formed on 16 July 2006 and replaced ''Alpha Ethniki'' at the top of the Greek football league system. It consists of 14 teams and runs from August to May, with teams playing 26 games. As of May 2022, Super League Greece is ranked 15th in the UEFA ranking of leagues, based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. The Greece national football team ( el, Εθνική Ελλάδας, ) represents Greece in men's international football matches and is controlled by the Hellenic Football Federation, the governing body for football in Greece. Greece play most of their home matches in Attica, either in Athens at the Olympic Stadium in the Marousi section of the city or in the port city of Piraeus at the Karaiskakis Stadium. UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2002 was the 13th staging of UEFA's European Under-21 Championship. The final tournament was hosted by Switzerland between 16 and 28 May 2002. Czech Republic U-21s won the competition for the first time. Qualification The 47 national teams were divided into nine groups (one group of four + five groups of 5 + three groups of 6).
