Stefano Bonomo
Stefano Paolo Bonomo (born January 25, 1993) is an American retired soccer player who played as a forward. Career Youth and college Born in Hillsborough, California Bonomo began his career in the youth ranks of the Burlingame Juventus club, winning the state cup in 2004. He also played for De Anza Force. Bonomo played college soccer with the California Golden Bears from 2011 to 2014. While with the Golden Bears the forward played in 67 matches scoring 23 goals and recording 8 assists. During the 2014 season Bonomo was named to the All-Pac-12 Conference First Team after scoring 12 goals in 17 matches. Professional Bonomo was selected with the 39th overall pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by New York Red Bulls. However, Bonomo did not sign with the club, instead opting for trials with European clubs including, Polish side Miedź Legnica and England’s Sheffield Wednesday. Hillsborough is an incorporated town in San Mateo County, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is located south of San Francisco on the San Francisco Peninsula, bordered by Burlingame to the north, San Mateo to the east, Highlands-Baywood Park to the south, and Interstate 280 to the west. Devon Chesterton "Speedy" Williams (born 8 April 1992) is a Jamaican professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for USL Championship club Colorado Springs Switchbacks and the Jamaica national team. 2018 USL Season
The 2018 USL season was the eighth season of the United Soccer League and second under Division II sanctioning. The previous season, the USL had provisional Div. II sanctioning from the United States Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer) along with the North American Soccer League, but was given full sanctioning for the 2018 season with a two-year deadline to meet the full requirements set by U.S. Soccer. 2016 USL Season
The 2016 USL season was the sixth season of the United Soccer League and the twenty-second season of USSF sanctioned Division III play organized by the United Soccer Leagues. On August 6, 2015, the league announced that the season would consist of 30 games rather than 28 games played from 2013–2015. This was the first increase in the number of games since the league went from 24 games per season in 2012 to 28 games in 2013. The league expanded from 24 to 29 teams in 2016. Six franchises were officially announced by the league: Swope Park Rangers, Orlando City B, Rio Grande Valley FC, FC Cincinnati, Bethlehem Steel FC, and San Antonio FC. 2015 USL Season
The 2015 USL season was the fifth season of the United Soccer League (USL) and the first under its new name (previously the league was called USL Pro). This season represented a substantial expansion from 14 teams in 2014 to 24 teams in 2015, and the division of the league into two conferences. It is also the 29th season of third-division soccer in the United States. 2016 USL Playoffs
The 2016 USL Playoffs is a postseason tournament following the 2016 United Soccer League regular season, the second since the league rebranded for the 2015 season. Including USL Pro history, it is the fifth postseason tournament. The tournament began on September 30 and will last until October 23. Sixteen teams (top 8 per conference) will compete, up from 12 last season, in the single elimination tournament. Teams will be seeded one through eight in each conference. The conference semifinal winners will play against each other in the Conference Championship, which will serve as the overall semifinals for the playoff.
