Stefan Majewski
Stefan Majewski (born 31 January 1956) is a Polish former professional footballer and football manager. Club career Majewski was born in Bydgoszcz. He played for clubs such as Gwiazda Bydgoszcz, Zawisza Bydgoszcz, Legia Warsaw, 1. FC Kaiserslautern (West Germany), Arminia Bielefeld (West Germany) or Apollon Limassol (Cyprus). International career Most notably, he also played for the Poland national team, for which he played 40 matches and scored four goals. Majewski was a participant at the 1982 FIFA World Cup, where Poland won the third place, and at the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Coaching career Majewski later pursued a coaching career, he coached the team of Widzew Łódź in 2004–06. Between 2 October 2006 and 27 October 2008, he was the coach of Cracovia. Bydgoszcz
Bydgoszcz ( , , ; german: Bromberg) is a city in northern Poland, straddling the meeting of the River Vistula with its left-bank tributary, the Brda. Franciszek Smuda
Franciszek Smuda (; born 22 June 1948) is a Polish Association football, football Coach (sport), coach and former footballer who also holds a German passport. As a player, he spent his career playing for clubs in Poland, the United States and Germany. Leo Beenhakker
Leo Beenhakker CM (; born 2 August 1942) is a Dutch international football coach. He has had an extensive and successful career both at club and international level. He led both Ajax and Feyenoord to Dutch championships and also had domestic success with Real Madrid. At international level, he led Trinidad and Tobago to the 2006 FIFA World Cup and Poland to UEFA Euro 2008, both firsts for each nation. His role in Spanish football has earned him the nickname ''Don Leo'', largely due to his fondness of cigars and dry humour. The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978).
