Steel (Battle Beast Album)
''Steel'' is the first full-length album recorded by the heavy metal band Battle Beast. It was released on January 27, 2012 and reached No. 7 on the Finnish Album Chart. It is also the first album and only album to feature Nitte Valo on lead vocals. Influences ''Steel'' borrows concepts and names from the manga '' Berserk'', for example the lyrics of "Band of the Hawk": 'We are a mercenary band, led by Griffith, the white hawk.' "Iron Hand" similarly refers to protagonist Guts's iron arm, referring to him as the 'Black Swordsman'. Battle Beast (band)
Battle Beast is a Finnish heavy/power metal band established in Helsinki in 2008 by Anton Kabanen, Juuso Soinio and Pyry Vikki. The initial line-up consisted of guitarists Soinio and Kabanen, and drummer Vikki, who were high school friends. The rest of the original lineup, bassist Eero Sipilä, keyboardist Janne Björkroth and lead singer Nitte Valo, joined the band after auditions. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Power Metal
Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within symphonic context. Generally, power metal is characterized by a faster, lighter, and more uplifting sound, in contrast with the heaviness and dissonance prevalent, for example, in extreme metal. Power metal bands usually have anthem-like songs with fantasy-based subject matter and strong choruses, thus creating a theatrical, dramatic and emotionally "powerful" sound. Sound recording and reproduction is the electrical, mechanical, electronic, or digital inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. Berserk (manga)
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in a medieval Europe-inspired dark fantasy world, the story centers on the characters of Guts, a lone swordsman, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the "Band of the Hawk". Miura premiered a prototype of ''Berserk'' in 1988. The series began the following year in the Hakusensha's now-defunct magazine ''Monthly Animal House'', which was replaced in 1992 by the semimonthly magazine ''Young Animal'', where ''Berserk'' has continued its publication.
