Stavsjø Church ( no, Stavsjø kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Ringsaker Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the village of Stavsjø. It is one of the churches for the Nes parish which is part of the Ringsaker prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Hamar. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1880 using plans drawn up by the architect Hesler. The church seats about 260 people. History The large Nes Church parish has existed for centuries. Since medieval times, Nes Church had an annex church called Baldishol Church, located a few kilometers northwest of Nes Church. By the 1800s, Baldishol Church had been renovated, expanded, and repaired many times and it was in very poor condition. is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Hedemarken. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Brumunddal. Other settlements in Ringsaker include the town of Moelv and the villages of Furnes, Kvål, Kylstad, Mesnali, Nydal, Rudshøgda, Stavsjø, Tingnes, and Byflaten. Nes Church ( no, Nes kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Ringsaker Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the village of Tingnes. The white, stone church was built in a cruciform design around the year 1250 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 320 people. History The first church in Nes was likely a wooden stave church that was built during the 11th century. Around the year 1250, the old wooden church was torn down and replaced with a new stone church on the same site. The list of churches in Hamar is a list of the Church of Norway churches in the Diocese of Hamar which includes all of Innlandet county (plus two municipalities in Viken county) in Norway. The list is divided into several sections, one for each deanery (; headed by a provost) in the diocese. Helgøya Church ( no, Helgøya kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Ringsaker Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located on the island of Helgøya. It is one of the churches for the Nes parish which is part of the Ringsaker prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Hamar. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1870 using plans drawn up by the architect Jacob Wilhelm Nordan. The church seats about 200 people. History In the 1850s, plans were made for a new church on the island of Helgøya. The new church would be an annex to the Nes Church parish.In 1868, permission was granted to build the new church on the Svennerud farm. Of two competing drawings, the parish chose the design by Jacob Wilhelm Nordan. The lead builder was Ole Stensrud from Vang.
