Stavros Halkias
Stavros Halkias ( el, Σταύρος Χαλκιάς; born February 11, 1989) is an American stand-up comedian and podcaster. Active since the early 2010s, he is a nationally touring comic who came to prominence as a founding co-host of the podcast ''Cum Town''. Early life Halkias was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, to Greek immigrant parents (a Macedonian mother and Athenian father) and attended the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, a public high school where he played football. He attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, working for Marc Steiner's Center for Emerging Media as an intern. He stated on the podcast ''Digression Sessions'' that he was a few credits short of graduating. Sam Morril
Sam Morril is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer. Early life Morril grew up in New York City, the son of Ashkenazi Jewish parents. His mother, Marilyn Greenberg, is a painter and his stepfather is publishing industry attorney Mark Charles Morril. His maternal grandfather was George Greenberg, the former CEO of Loehmann's clothing store chain. In 1993, when he was seven years old, his mother and stepfather married and he thus adopted the Morril surname. He has two step-siblings. Through his biological father, whose surname is Elgort, Morril is the nephew of fashion photographer Arthur Elgort and the cousin of actor and singer Ansel Elgort. He attended the Browning School in Manhattan, and later graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans. Dirtbag Left
The dirtbag left is a style of left-wing politics that eschews civility to convey a left-wing populist and anti-capitalist message using vulgarity. It is most closely associated with American left-wing media that emerged in the mid-2010s, such as the podcast ''Chapo Trap House''. Origins The term was coined by Amber A'Lee Frost and is associated with her essay "The Necessity of Political Vulgarity", published in ''Current Affairs'' in 2016. While the essay does not directly use the term ''dirtbag left'', it mounts a defense of politics that uses "vulgarity as a tool for fighting the powerful", citing ''libelles'' used to slander Marie Antoinette, '' Cohen v. California'', and N.W.A's protest song "Fuck tha Police", among others. The Highland Park Masonic Temple, also known as The Mason Building or The Highlands, is a historic three-story brick building on Figueroa Street in the Highland Park, Los Angeles, California, Highland Park district of northeast Los Angeles, California. Wham City is an art and performance collective based in Baltimore, Maryland. Members of Wham City include musicians Dan Deacon and Ed Schrader, visual artists Jimmy Joe Roche, Peter Ryan O'Connell, Mason Ross, Adam Endres, Dina Kelberman, April Camlin, Connor M.
