Stationary Odyssey
Stationary Odyssey was an American alternative rock band from Evansville, Indiana, United States, composed of Aaron Tanner and Brett Siler. Their debut EP, Komondor, was named one of the top 15 Most Important Releases of 2004 in Japan (Duotone Records). In December 2006, Stationary Odyssey released a free, downloadable EP that contained a remix by Kramer (Ween, Butthole Surfers). After touring with Frank Black in early 2007, Mike Farmer (aka Kentucky Prophet) supplied vocals on two Stationary Odyssey songs for a split EP with Child Bite ( Suburban Sprawl Music). In early 2007, the band had features in both ''Verbicide'' magazine and '' Modern Fix''. Tanner produced a Sonic Youth tribute album, ''Confuse Yr Idols'' ( Narnack Records). Evansville is a city in, and the county seat of, Vanderburgh County, Indiana, United States. Suburban Sprawl Music
Suburban Sprawl Music is an American independent record label founded in 1999 in Livonia, Michigan. The label was started by Erik Koppin, who managed the label from 1999 until 2004, when the label roster decided to run Suburban Sprawl collectively. Since 2004, operations have been handled by roughly 20 individuals, ranging from label band members to friends of Suburban Sprawl. A post office box is maintained in Livonia, and records are kept in Ann Arbor. In December 2007, Suburban Sprawl merged with Ann Arbor multimedia company, Quack!Media, and consequently is now based in Ann Arbor. Contributions to the label come from individuals in various Michigan locales, including Mount Pleasant, Lansing, and Metro Detroit in general. Chris Schlarb
Chris Schlarb (born July 10, 1977) is an American composer, songwriter, record producer, and guitarist. He is best known as the founder and leader of the Psychic Temple cult. Career In 1998, Schlarb co-founded the free improvisation ensemble Create (!). Schlarb founded the record label Sounds Are Active in 1999. Sounds Are Active released over 50 albums and produced the Sean Carnage rockumentary '' 40 Bands 80 Minutes!'' (2006). Steel Pole Bath Tub was an American rock band, formed in 1986 in Bozeman, Montana, United States, by Mike Morasky (guitar/vocals) and Dale Flattum (bass/vocals). Band history Morasky and Flattum moved the band to Seattle, Washington, where Darren Mor-X (drums) joined the band, before they all moved to San Francisco, California. Boredoms () (later known as V∞redoms) is a rock band from Osaka, Japan formed in 1986. The band's sound is often referred to as noise rock, or sometimes Japanoise (Japan’s noise music scene), though their more recent records have moved toward repetitive psychedelic rock, ambient soundscapes, and tribal drumming. Elf Power
Elf Power is an American indie rock band that originated in Athens, Georgia, United States. The line-up consists of guitarist/vocalist Andrew Rieger, keyboardist Laura Carter, guitarist Dave Wrathgabar, bassist Bryan Poole, and drummer Peter Alvanos. They are part of the Elephant Six Collective. History The band began as a four-track recording project of Rieger, Carter, Raleigh Hatfield and Dave Wrathgabar, later of Fablefactory. These recording sessions eventually resulted in the first incarnation of their debut album ''Vainly Clutching at Phantom Limbs''. ''Chart Attack'' was a Canadian online music publication. Formerly a monthly print magazine called ''Chart'', it was published from 1991 to 2009. While the web version appears to be available online, the domain is now used as a popular media outlet, similar to BuzzFeed, almost entirely excluding music. Sonic Youth
Sonic Youth was an American rock band based in New York City, formed in 1981. Child Bite is an American punk/metal band formed in 2005 in Detroit, Michigan. The band's core members are founding vocalist Shawn Knight and longtime bassist Sean Clancy.
