State Route 13 (SR 13) is a state highway in the western part of the U.S. state of Alabama. Except for a portion roughly between Berry and Russellville, SR 13 is the unsigned designation for U.S. Route 43 (US 43). Thus, while the total distance of the route is over , as an independently signed route, SR 13 is only long. The southern terminus of US 43 and SR 13 is at their intersection with US 90 and unsigned SR 16 in Mobile. The northern terminus of the route is on US 43 at the Tennessee state line north of Killen in Lauderdale County. As a signed route, the southern terminus of the route is at the intersection of US 43 and SR 18 in southern Fayette County, and the northern terminus as at US 43 and SR 17 south of Russellville in Franklin County. U.S. Route 43 (US 43) is a north–south United States Highway in the Southern states of Alabama and Tennessee. It travels from Prichard, Alabama, to Columbia, Tennessee. The highway's southern terminus is in Prichard, at an intersection with US 90, and its northern terminus is in Columbia at an intersection with US 31/ US 412/ US 412 Bus. In Alabama and Tennessee, all of the U.S. Highways in each state have one or more unsigned state highways designated along its length. State Route 18 (SR 18) is a state highway in northwest Alabama. Route description SR 18 begins at the Mississippi state line near Vernon. In Vernon, it junctions with SR 17. It continues on its curvy route east, then southeast to the Fayette County line. It then junctions with SR 107. It turns south and junctions with SR 96 west. It then junctions with US 43 north and SR 171. It continues southeast with US 43 south. It makes an unusual curve south in Stough. It turns east again and junctions with SR 13. State Route 102 (SR 102) is a east–west state highway in the western part of the U.S. state of Alabama. The western terminus of the highway is at an intersection with U.S. Route 43 (US 43) approximately north of Fayette. Interstate 22 (I-22) is a Interstate Highway in the US states of Mississippi and Alabama, connecting I-269 near Byhalia, Mississippi, to I-65 near Birmingham, Alabama. I-22 is also Corridor X of the Appalachian Development Highway System. Designated in 2012, I-22 follows the route of the older U.S. Route 78 (US 78). Haleyville, Alabama
Haleyville is a city in Winston and Marion counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. It incorporated on February 28, 1889. Most of the city is located in Winston County, with a small portion of the western limits entering Marion County. Haleyville was originally named "Davis Cross Roads", having been established at the crossroads of Byler Road and the Illinois Central Railroad. At the 2020 census the population was 4,361, up from 4,173 at the 2010 census. History The first Guthrie's restaurant was opened by Hal Guthrie in Haleyville in 1965. On February 16, 1968, the first 9-1-1 emergency telephone system in the nation went into service in Haleyville. Bear Creek, Alabama
Bear Creek is a town in Marion County, Alabama, United States. It incorporated in 1907, although the 1910 U.S. Census records indicated 1909. At the 2020 census, the population was 1,047. Geography Bear Creek is located in northeastern Marion County at (34.272400, -87.703374). It is northeast of Hamilton, the county seat; east of Hackleburg; northwest of Haleyville; and south of Russellville. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which , or 0.97%, are water. The town takes its name from Bear Creek, which flows westerly through the south side of town before turning north and joining the Tennessee River at the Mississippi state line.
