State Road 426 (Florida)
State Road 426 (SR 426) is a major road in Orange and Seminole counties, entirely north of Orlando. Its length is closely similar to SR 438. East of here, the road continues as County Road 426 (CR 426) as a direct route to Mims and Scottsmoor, the census-designated places of Brevard County, terminating at SR 46. SR 426 is signed east–west, but takes a diagonal path through the Orlando-Kissimmee, Florida, Metropolitan Statistical Area and rural Seminole County, by the Econlockhatchee River. Route description SR 426 starts at SR 424 as Fairbanks Avenue in Fairview Shores, and starts off as an undivided, 4 lane road. Shortly, it parallels Interstate 4 (I-4) for . Florida State Road 434
State Road 434 (SR 434) is a major roadway in the Central Florida area. Starting at SR 424 (Edgewater Drive) just north of Orlando city limits, the road runs north as Forest City Road through Forest City before dropping the name at the Seminole County line. SR 434 continues north and east through Altamonte Springs and Longwood before turning south and east through Winter Springs and Oviedo. SR 434 is called Central Avenue when it first turns south towards downtown Oviedo. After going through downtown Oviedo, SR 434 is called Alafaya Trail from its intersection with Mitchell Hammock Road south to the Orange County line to its end at SR 50 (Colonial Drive). 2+1 Road
2+1 road is a specific category of three-lane road, consisting of two lanes in one direction and one lane in the other, alternating every few kilometres, and usually separated with a steel cable barrier. The second lane allows faster-moving traffic to overtake slower vehicles at regular intervals. Traditional roads of at least width can be converted to 2+1 roads and reach near-motorway safety levels at a much lower cost than an actual conversion to motorway or dual carriageway. Sometimes, during freeway reconstruction, a barrier transfer machine will be used on one half of the freeway while the other is being reconstructed. State Road 417 (SR 417), also known as the Central Florida GreeneWay, Seminole County Expressway (depending on the location), Eastern Beltway and Orlando East Bypass, is a tolled limited-access state highway forming the eastern beltway around the city of Orlando, Florida, United States. It is owned and maintained by the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) and Florida's Turnpike Enterprise. The CFX section was posthumously named after former Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority chairman Jim Greene. SR 417 was originally planned to be a full beltway around Orlando. Florida State Road 551
State Road 551 (SR 551), locally known as Goldenrod Road and Palmetto Avenue, forms a north–south surface street bypass of Orlando to the east. A Central Florida Expressway Authority project known as Goldenrod Road Extension connects to SR 551 just north of SR 15 and extends it south to SR 528 (Beachline Expressway). South of this interchange, the road becomes known as Heintzelman Boulevard and ends south of Orlando International Airport. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.
