State Road 16 (Serbia)
State Road 16, is an IB-class road in northern Serbia, connecting Croatia at Bezdan with State Road 15. It is located in Vojvodina. Before the new road categorization regulation given in 2013, the route wore the following names: M 17.1 (before 2012) / 30 (after 2012). The existing route is a main road with two traffic lanes and a part of European route E662. JP Putevi Srbije ( sr, ЈП Путеви Србије) or Roads of Serbia, is a Serbian Construction industry, construction company headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia. It is the national road construction company of Serbia. Organization Putevi Srbija was established by the ''Enactment'' of the Government of Serbia, as the state-owned enterprise responsible for "professional activities referring to permanent, continuous and good-quality maintenance and preservation, exploitation, construction, reconstruction, organization and control of toll collection, development and management of I and II category state roads in the Republic of Serbia". Bezdan
Bezdan ( sr-cyr, Бездан; hu, Bezdán, hr, Bezdan, german: Besdan) is a village located in Bačka, Vojvodina, Serbia. It is situated in the Sombor municipality, West Bačka District. The village has a Hungarian ethnic majority and its population numbers at 5,263 people (2002 census). History It was first mentioned in 1305 under the name of ''Battyan'', while in 1341 it was mentioned as ''Betsan''. The village was destroyed during an Ottoman invasion in the 16th century. With the establishment of Habsburg rule, the village was settled by Hungarians, Poles, Czechs and Germans. The first church in the village was built in 1755, and the current one was constructed in 1846. The West Bačka District ( sr, Западнобачки округ, Zapadnobački okrug, ; hu, Nyugat-bácskai körzet) is one of seven administrative districts of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia.
