State Road 16 (Florida)
State Road 16 (SR 16) runs from northwest to southeast between Raiford and St. Augustine. It passes through the towns of Starke and Green Cove Springs in addition to providing access to Camp Blanding. Major roads and/or highways that SR 16 crosses include: US 301, SR 21, US 17, SR 13, Interstate 95 and US 1. Route description The route begins at Florida State Road 121 in Raiford and runs straight east. Sanford Subdivision
The Sanford Subdivision is a railroad line owned by CSX Transportation in Florida. The line runs along CSX's A Line from St. Johns (near Jacksonville) south through Palatka to DeLand. At its north end it continues south from the Jacksonville Terminal Subdivision on the A Line and at its south end it continues south as the Central Florida Rail Corridor. Prior to 2011, the Sanford Subdivision continued south from DeLand along the A Line to Auburndale. In 2011, the Florida Department of Transportation bought the line between DeLand and Poinciana and operates the SunRail commuter rail service over that segment. The remaining line south of Poinciana was annexed to CSX's Carters Subdivision after the sale. Gold Head Branch State Park
Gold Head Branch State Park, a Florida State Park, is just shy of 2400 acres (8 km²) of rolling sandhills, marshes, ravines, lakes and scrub located midway between Gainesville and Jacksonville, six miles (10 km) north of Keystone Heights on SR 21. Gold Head is one of the earliest state parks in Florida. Some of its amenities, including cabins, were originally constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020. Biology Among the wildlife of the park are fox squirrels, southeastern kestrels, red-tailed hawks, bald eagles, wild turkeys, and gopher tortoises. Florida State Road 200
State Road 200 (SR 200) is a major diagonal road in central and northeast Florida. Its southern terminus is at US 41 ( SR 45) in Hernando (Citrus County). Its northern terminus is at SR A1A in Fernandina Beach ( Nassau County), at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Fletcher Avenue. Route description SR 200 is signed from Hernando through Apache Shores and Stokes Ferry in Citrus County, passing a narrow bridge over the Withlacoochee River. The Florida East Coast Railway is a Class II railroad operating in the U.S. state of Florida, currently owned by Grupo México. Built primarily in the last quarter of the 19th century and the first decade of the 20th century, the FEC was a project of Standard Oil principal Henry Flagler. Hastings is an unincorporated community and agricultural center in St. Johns County, Florida, United States, southwest of St. Augustine. Spuds is an unincorporated community in St. Johns County, Florida, United States. The community is situated in a region that depends economically on potato growing and other agriculture.
