State College Area High School, often referred to locally as "State High," is a public high school in State College, Pennsylvania, United States. It is the only public high school in the State College Area School District and is within walking distance of Penn State University. State College is a home rule municipality in Centre County in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Harry Albert Atwater, Jr. is an American physicist and materials scientist and is the Otis Booth Leadership Chair of the Division of Engineering and Applied Science at the California Institute of Technology. Ryan James Gruhn (born July 22, 1982) is an American Martial Artist, MMA Coach, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt.
