Starstreet (TV Series)
STARStreet* is a British children's television series, starring the pop group allSTARS*. The 'STARS' in allSTARS* and ''STARStreet*'' represents the first letter of each member's name – Sandi, Thaila, Ashley, Rebecca and Sam. The series saw the band living together in a fictional crazy colourful house, where anything out of the ordinary could happen. It was produced for two series by Carlton Television, in association with Byrne Blood Productions. The first series first aired as part of the ITV children's Saturday morning show, SMTV Live in 2001. CITV
CITV (short for Children's ITV, also known as the CITV Channel) is a British free-to-air children's television channel owned by ITV plc. It broadcasts content from the CITV archive and acquisitions, every day from 6 am to 9 pm which was previously 6 am to 6 pm until 21 February 2016. It is also the title of a programming block on the ITV (TV network), ITV network at weekends. Thaila Zucchi
Thaila Lucia Zucchi (; born 19 January 1981) is a British singer and actress of English and Italian descent. She began her career as a member of the British band allSTARS* before transitioning into acting, appearing in '' Big Brother 8'' in the UK, where she played the part of fake Australian housemate Pauline. She has also appeared in '' Balls of Steel'' and ''Star Stories'', as well as the TV series ''Blandings''. Music career Zucchi was a member of allSTARS*, a band that started out on the children's television show ''STARStreet'' (shown on CITV). Ashley Taylor Dawson
Philip Ashley Taylor Dawson (born 11 January 1982), known as Ashley Taylor Dawson, is an English actor and singer. He is known for portraying the role of Darren Osborne in the Channel 4 soap opera ''Hollyoaks'', as well as being a member of the pop group allSTARS*. Early life Born in Manchester, Dawson grew up in Wilmslow. He attended Ashdene Primary School and Altrincham Grammar School for Boys and joined local drama group Scamps at a young age. He is the brother of singer and guitarist Catherine Taylor-Dawson. Career Dawson has played the role of Darren Osborne in ''Hollyoaks'' since 1999. Rebecca Hunter, sometimes credited as Becky Hunter (born 12 July 1981), is a British actress and singer. Hunter was born in Northampton, and has a diploma in acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She is best known for playing Melanie Costello on the Channel five soap opera ''Family Affairs'' between 2003 and 2005. Carlton Television (now part of the non-franchised ITV London region) was the ITV franchise holder for London and the surrounding counties from 9.25am every Monday to 5.15pm every Friday. The company is now managed with London Weekend Television as a single entity (ITV London), but the two companies are still separately licensed. The station is owned and operated by ITV plc under the licensee of "ITV Broadcasting Limited". Carlton has been branded on air as "ITV1" since 28 October 2002, and as "ITV" since 14 January 2013. ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). Allstars (stylised allSTARS*) were a British pop group, who were active between 2001 and 2002, achieving some chart success in the UK. Consisting of Sam Bloom, Thaila Zucchi, Ashley Taylor Dawson, Rebecca Hunter and Sandi Lee Hughes (the initial letters of the band members' names making up the "stars" of in the name of their group), they were probably best noted for having their own television show, '' STARStreet*'', on CITV between 2001 and 2002. ''SMTV Live'' (an abbreviation of ''Saturday Morning Television Live'', and also stylised as ''SM: LIVE'') was a British Saturday morning children's television programme, produced by Blaze Television for ITV. Operating on a similar format to other Saturday morning programmes for children, such as BBC's ''Live & Kicking'', the programme premiered on 29 August 1998 and ran for over 270 episodes across five years, before its conclusion on 27 December 2003.
