Stars And Stripes (professional Wrestling)
Stars and Stripes was a professional wrestling tag team in World Championship Wrestling composed of The Patriot and Marcus Alexander Bagwell. History Stars and Stripes was formed in WCW in the summer of 1994 when The Patriot and Marcus Bagwell formed a face (fan favorite) tag team. Bagwell, who had previously held the WCW World Tag Team Championship while teaming with 2 Cold Scorpio, got wrestling gear to match The Patriot's patriotic look. Stars and Stripes teamed for the first time on May 28 episode of '' Saturday Night'', defeating Dick Slater and Chris Sullivan in a tag team match. Shortly after the pair began teaming, Pretty Wonderful (Paul Roma and Paul Orndorff) won the WCW World Tag Team Championship. Delbert Alexander "Del" Wilkes, Jr. (December 21, 1961 – June 30, 2021) was an American Professional wrestling, professional wrestler and college football player, better known by his ring names, The Trooper and The Patriot. Over the course of his nine-year career, Wilkes wrestled for the American Wrestling Association, the Global Wrestling Federation, All Japan Pro Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, and the WWE, World Wrestling Federation. SuperBrawl V was the fifth SuperBrawl professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). The event took place on February 19, 1995 from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. In the main event, Hulk Hogan successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Vader as Vader was disqualified due to Ric Flair's interference in the match. David Mark DiMeglio (February 8, 1967 – March 1, 2002) was an American professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Dino Casanova. ''Clash of the Champions'' is an American series of professional wrestling television specials that were produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) in conjunction with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). The specials were supercards comprising pay-per-view caliber matches, similar to the World Wrestling Federation's (WWF, now WWE) ''Saturday Night's Main Event'' series. The ''Clash of the Champions'' shows were famous for typically not airing commercials during matches even though many of these matches lasted 20 minutes or more. The first ''Clash of the Champions'' was held on March 27, 1988, by JCP and was entitled ''NWA: Clash of the Champions''.
