Isaac "Jack" Starr (March 6, 1895 – June 22, 1989), known as the father of ballistocardiography, was an American physician, heart disease specialist, and clinical epidemiologist notable for developing the first practical ballistocardiograph. His early academic positions included being an assistant professor in pharmacology and later the first Hartzell Professor of Research Therapeutics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania as well as dean of the school from 1945 to 1948. Henry Starr (1873–1921) was an American criminal of the wild west and an American actor of the silent film era. Biography Starr’s parents were Mary Scott Starr and George Starr. Distantly related to Sam Starr, husband of Belle Starr, he was the last in a long line of Starr family criminals. During Starr’s childhood in Indian Territory, he spent his time around gangs in their hideouts. In 1886, Starr's father passed away. Starr’s widowed mother had to watch three children after that. Later on in life, she married a man named C.N. Walker. Starr disliked him, so he left to become a cowboy at a ranch. Starr was first arrested and fined for “Introducing spirits into the territory”. George Reginald Starr (6 April 1904 – 2 September 1980), code name Hilaire, was a British mining engineer and an agent of the United Kingdom's clandestine Special Operations Executive (SOE) organisation in World War II. He was the organiser (leader) of the Wheelwright network in southwestern France from November 1942 until the liberation of France from Nazi German occupation in September 1944.
